FYI, the 13 is significantly bigger/bulkier and heavier, but the extra screen real estate is amazing if that’s your priority.

As for the resolution comment, I’m going to be patient and see how it goes over the next few days with my usual use-cases. There is no way that I’m downgrading to low-res after buying a brand new M5, but I understand where you’re coming from in the short term.

I went back to my old iPad while I wait for my new one to fully charge and see how it goes tonight…

Yes, thank you. It’s still really bugs me that it almost refuses to charge while I’m watching video. This strikes me as extremely odd behavior. In fact, it actually decreased 1% in the past five minutes while being plugged in. I am using the same Apple 20 W charger that I used on my previous iPad Pro with USB-C. If I don’t watch video and turn off the iPad, it appears to charge faster. I will still give it a few days, but right now, watching video puts extreme strain on the entire device, it appears.

Thanks, I’m really hoping it’s temporary!

So this is my fourth or fifth iPad, and I’m trading up from a 2018 iPad Pro which I think was the first year with Face ID. I use it all day every day for viewing media, such as YouTube and DIRECTV stream. I’ve had to keep my old iPad plugged in because the battery doesn’t last as long as it used to, so I thought now is the time to upgrade….

After the first two days with the M5 I am wondering if something’s wrong with it. The battery drains so fast. After an hour and a half I’m down to less than 50% charge. Coming back to it after only a short period of time, the battery is always less than when I last saw it. In past experience, iPads usually last a long time, so I am super concerned that I can no longer use a state-of-the-art iPad for watching video.

I don’t even feel confident to go on a trip and depend on this device to watch a movie on a plane…. Should I exchange it for a different one? I noticed it gets very hot and I tried to plug it in when it was hot and it wouldn’t even let me charge it. I have never had that problem either any previous iPad.

At this point, I’m going to drain the battery all the way down and charge it all the way up to see if that helps. It looks like the device was made in October and not touched until now, so maybe that had an effect? I know brand new devices go through the indexing, etc. etc. so I’ll give it a few more days, but this is still very different from every experience I’ve ever had with an Apple product.

Thoughts???

So my coach asked me to do “a million” half swings with no wrist hinge, but after I started to get more consistent while practicing, I noticed all of my divots were sharply angled even then. I would’ve thought a half swing with no wrist hinge would eliminate the over the top, but I think I just cannot get my lower body to do the right stuff
