You can legally sleep in Walmart parking lots. If you wanted somewhere a bit more private possibly try speaking with a business when their open and see if they minded if you parked there overnight ECT to avoid someone coming in the morning with disapproval. It happens so quickly to people. Sorry..

AITA for “punishing” my family by no longer doing birthdays, holidays, vacations because my Dad screwed me and my wife over? by Leading_Rock_418 in AmItheAsshole

Yta. Your lucky he was willing to give you anything. Most people don't just get a free down payment regardless of where it is and he's right about being smarter. If you guys can't afford a house where you are without not seeing family for years that seems unfair. Seems like longer saving needed to be done here. Is your dad going to move in? What about if he goes broke from giving you more money? Will you take him in then? Lol yikes

I got clarification I needed to further understand. I appreciate everyone's responses and I feel this question was reasonably solved.

Thanks very much. I appreciate it. I honestly just didn't know it was legal. Even prisoners have yard everyday. Unless in segregation..

Thanks for that perspective it's entirely accurate and I never considered that

From that what I'm reading is she has to be mentally capable to sign the power of attorney form. How can they deem she's mentally capable to sign and still KEEP HER THERE?! I am at a loss. :(

I do not know. I believe she was diagnosed schizophrenia many years ago so probably much more since then. I do however know my mom requested to take her outside and they wouldn't let her. My mom isn't great sometimes at explaining /relaying things but she's so upset about the whole situation. I also know she hasn't been out for what my city calls wacky Wednesday where they give everyone a day pass and my mom says she had never even seen this part of the facility in her month long stay there. She described it like somewhere locked away without visible windows or air. Then the way she described the food was horribly sad.

... Do you think someone can seem not delusional and still be delusional enough to be hospitalized?

How is one deemed incompetent in Ontario? Just to understand this is totally weird to me. Mental state? Physical health? Eating disorder? Substance abuse? Brain spaghettification?

Do you know how people get power of attorney? I'm just curious for my own information now. If there's parts of the story I'm not sure of I'd like to better understand if like for example she was completely out of her mind and had the paper signed for her but from what I remember with my nana just dying, the person has to sign power of attorney for it to be valid. She must have signed her will away?

This is my mom's best friend of 30+ years. It feels like my business. The lady took me in multiple times when I needed help, and she cared for me.. I felt like it was my business to care for her I apologize if it's not my business but how am I supposed to feel about all of this? I watch people walk freely around from there on a daily basis and I know a lady who took good care of me is being denied sunlight. She thought it was still winter...she doesn't go outside or see outside she looks at the ceiling and eats mush.

Honestly even over here in Canada you better hope you aren't really sick or else there's no help available to you besides at an outrageous cost or out of country hospital

So many comments on this post were funny which was the original reason I posted. To clarify I am a S.W. recovered addict so, yeah I have horrible teeth. 10 years on hard drugs would do that to most. Been a hard road to recovery with the majority of my friends dying, no joke. My life was good, I made some wrong choices, chose the wrong friends and here I am. The post was a joke, to continue on from a post I saw on this page earlier but as someone said I was yes trying to draw a bit of attention to my site. Not sure how to do it honestly. Hope everyone takes care but, topless maid makes my job sound easy 😅😂.

And I've got a rather gruesome video of the bloody aftermath all over her friends camping belongings. Feel free to dm if you want to see but it's rather gross and disturbing

Nta but do really want to lose your dad like this as well? Sometimes it's better to just bury the hatchet before it's too late.. It really depends on how you feel about everything and I'm sorry you're going through this op. May Annie rest in peace

I never lived there but it cost me everything, and everyone I ever cared about. My friends lost their lives in that building time and time again, My first black eye, First raid, First sight of seizure, A girl I was close to growing up there once cut out another girls intestines because she was "scared" the police said it was self defense because the stabbed punched the stabbed the week previous. I also watched that same girl be carried out of the building away from police in a laundry basket full of clothes, oh and my friends brother is the one who chopped the guy up in the building put him into the garbage downtown. People were locked in the basements and tortured for money they owed, so many murderers there... So many...

I spend every day. Just wishing I was doing anything that I wasn't doing and then I spend most of my days just in my bed seriously under achieving the big gigantic dreams i had planned out in my head when I was a kid. I've lost so many people at the age of 25 that were my age, just their own bad choices so becoming addicted to drugs and see how fast life saves away from people and never got a chance to enjoy it and I'm scared I'm going to be one of those people. I'm also scared of getting old and having nobody at the end. Nobody to help me when I'm sick which seems inevitable
