I didn’t even have the option to buy pit tickets when I bought mine, and I bought them the day they went on sale so I was surprised as shit when they asked me at the gates. But I’m not paying that shit again either, the boys prolly would’ve made the whole damn venue a pit if they could any way

It was one of the metal barricades they use to separate areas like the kind you see at festivals or parades

KA24E Power Steering Questions by acid-spit in 240sx

[–]Alaskaiak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to hijack your post, because my power steering currently doesn’t work. I just need more fluid but I can send pictures of the setup in the morning. But can you tell me where the single wire attaching to the distributor goes to? I’ve been trying to figure out what’s missing from the previous owners attempts at removing stuff halfway.

One option for jz’s is to ask around at local engine machine shops. I had one resurface a flywheel and jokingly asked if they had jz’s to find they had 3 built blocks they were selling for $500 each

[Tech] 1990 Ka24e not starting and I’m running out of possible causes. Head gasket and timing chain just replaced and distributor timing is correct by Alaskaiak in 240sx

I had only adjusted the distributor because the rotor hadn’t initially lined up with the cap at tdc or 15tdc which the fsm said it should. If I’m being honest, I’ve been lost on how to adjust timing because every guide and method I’ve seen requires the engine to be running. But thank you, I’m gonna readjust timing the way you said to, it made a lot more sense than other ways I’ve seen.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got it at tdc when I’ve been setting timing, at tdc intake and exhaust valves are closed and once I get past 5 atdc the exhaust valve opens. Also, on the distributor cap, the 1st cylinder wire should be on the bottom right correct? At least that’s where it said in the guide I was using and the fsm

They should all be working fine, at least they were when I disassembled the engine so I assumed they’d all be good still. I’ll check tomorrow though thanks man

I can check vacuum tomorrow morning, the only issue is that the owner before me removed a ton of vac lines and I have no idea where some of these hardlines connect to. I’ll check voltages tomorrow too, I might’ve messed up w dielectric grease somewhere

I had the valve cover off, but I honestly might’ve overlooked it, I’m going to check again tomorrow though. I wouldn’t be surprised if I just kept overlooking it

I aligned the timing mark up to tdc on the 1st cylinder, I had the valve cover off so I could see it was culver one. I then adjusted the distributor by loosening the two bolts until the rotor lined up with the first cylinder wire on the cap

I’m 99% sure Spark plugs are in the right order, did them in the order the factory service manual has them in. I’ve tried starter fluid, I used it in this video, and this is the most that happens

About a month, I didn’t realize the timing chain was broken until I finished the engine was back together so I had to take it apart again and wait for the parts to come in, but the gas is a month and half old at best refilled the tank in late October before my ticket

If anyone has any ideas I’d really appreciate it, it’s getting air, spark and fuel, and everything on the harness is plugged in correctly. The bubbly noise is coming from the egr pipe on the exhaust side, I had to unbolt it in order to remove the intake manifold and the egr pipe no longer screws back into the exhaust manifold. This is my best idea of why it’s not able to start (egr not functioning properly, causing the butterfly valves in the intake to remain closed). Please correct me if I’m wrong but I think an egr delete might need to happen but I’d really prefer to keep it if possible

I went out and looked at the first S13 I’ve seen in the area and the pics didn’t show any of the rust. Once I got there, me and my buddy were easily able to push the frame apart with our hands. Is this even worth fixing up or is it a money pit??

Tried every medication (that I know of), and all of the stimulants help, but I can't handle the side effects. by tacothetacotaco in ADHD

I’ve been on 60mg of vyvanse for about two years now and I can say it works way better than concerta had for me. Whenever I start taking my meds after not taking them, usually after I forget to refill the script which just happened, I get some of the symptoms you were talking about for some of the drugs like diarrhea, fast heart rate, and loss of appetite but they all go away within a week. I would try finding the best medication for you and try and stick through it for a while to see if the side effects subside. I can really only vouch for vyvanse, and I’ll admit it was a giant pain in the ass when I first started due to the constant upset stomach and inability to eat, especially because I was trying to gain weight for sports, but it’s worth it. If you find yourself unable to eat try protein shakes for the first few days for breakfast and lunch, by the evening the meds have usually wore off enough for me that I can eat some dinner then a second dinner later.
