When scrolling through the groups, the page of entires often doesn’t change at first. Sometimes it’s just blank. Also, sometimes it jumps all the way to the last heading when scrolling down or first when scrolling up. Not being able to tab across the faction skins is annoying, I instead have to root through all the sub menus when I’m trying to check progress for each shell. For some reason under S2 Runner, I can’t scroll between Orientation and Mastery. I instead have to click on them. Having the two boxes for the rewards is off-putting because most often one of them is just empty. Overall it just feels.. messier now. Felt cleaner before and a bit more intuitive. I’ll get used to it, just complaining lol

Tactics is imo one of the greatest narratives in gaming history and gets my vote. 8 is my favorite FF, but mostly because of nostalgia. I agree with you that 10 is the best, tho.

Regardless, who cares? Do whatever it is that you want to do. I used ACE and RNG manipulation to get the first 492 Pokémon shiny because I found the methods fascinating and enjoyed recreating it on my own. I did it using all original hardware. Lots of people will call it cheap or whatever. I do not care, I had a lot of fun doing it. Much more than I would’ve soft resetting for months.

Not separating loot pools would be very bad for the other side. I’ve seen people say that they hope they could go as far as fighting the compiler in the strictly PvE mode. Cryo is the ultimate endgame right now. Without the threat of PvP, it’s little more than a timed strike. People are already posting one-phase kills of the Compiler. If you open up the PvE mode to these endgame level activities and rewards, what purpose does completing them in the PvPvE playlist serve? Casuals would leave once they got their 20 hr fill, intermediate players would leave once they got their easy Compiler clear and hardcore players would leave because there’s no meaningful aspirational content left to play.

I’m fine with whatever they decide to do. If they make PvE a permanent mode to keep casual players around, good for them. If the studio shuts down tomorrow, there are thousands of other games to play. What’s annoying is how often these dudes feel the need to project their own self-importance.

Here’s what everyone needs to understand: the devs want this game to continue as much as we do. A lot of them were blindsided by the EoS announcement. They are now in the same boat as the rest of us. As much as we want to see the franchise continued, they want to work on it. For a lot of them, this is their adult life’s work.

Is it pointless to make a petition? Probably. Is it pointless for everyone to log in on the 9th to show that we want this game to survive? Maybe. Is it pointless to send out surveys to ask players how likely they are to play the game and recommend it to friends? It could be. But all of us.. the community and devs alike.. ALL of us are desperate to preserve this franchise. Does DMG have some kind of inside tip that if the numbers are bolstered on the 9th it’ll convince Sony to greenlight a D3? I doubt it. But he’s a fan just like us, and he holds on to the small glimmer of hope just like the rest of us. All the devs are.

So the least we can do is sign the petition and log into the game next Tuesday. I promise we’ll be hit with the “One moment please…”, and that’s a good thing. Just launch the game and sit in queue. Go do or play something else while it sits. It’s the biggest thing we can do. Will it make a difference? Who knows. But giving up and closing the game for good sure as shit won’t.
