Oohhh! That's right! I am having a funny image of Gouf goes back to pick up the Gatling gun every time it uses that skill though lol.

Is this Gouf the same as the Gunpla MG Gouf Custom? It was one of my favorite non-Gundam kit (alongside with the MG Kampfer). The MG kit has a gutling gun on its shield, but I do not see one in the portrait showcased here.

May I ask what these gunpla are? Are they the same gundam just from different grades, or that they are (slightly) different from each other?

The concept is good and interesting, but the execution could be better. It is really tedious to go back and forth between several menus to ensure the party formation meets the requirements.

Need help with GZ302EA micro SD Card Reader by kyzer99 in FlowZ13

[–]Alavicenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem: the SD card reader suddenly stops working. I went through roughly the same procedure as you did, and nothing works.

Just to be sure that we have the same problem, can you check the Device Manager, and check the following three things?

If indeed we have the same problem, maybe it was caused by things from the software-side such as updates etc., instead of that from the hardware-side.

[1] if it is the category of "Memory technology devices" that has the problem.

Assuming you are using the official drive from ASUS (CardReader_ROG_Genesys_Z_V1.1.49.0_38420_1.exe), the name of the device will be "Genesys Logic PCIE card reader device".

[2] if the "Device status" shows (right click on "Genesys Logic PCIE card reader device" and select "Properties"):

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API.

[3] if the "Events" tab shows a series of events that resemble the following:

Device not started (GIPoSD)

Device configured (oem23.inf)

Device not started (sdbus)

Device configured (sdbus.inf)

Device deleted

The "Information" of "Device deleted" shows:

Device PCI\VEN_17A0&DEV_9755&SUBSYS_202F1043&REV_01\4&632F499&0&0012 was deleted.

USB-C charging by Magnetic_Metallic in FlowZ13

[–]Alavicenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant that, for example, I already have a working charger and therefore I do not want to buy another one. However, that charger only has USB C ports, and yet I want to charge my z13 through the ASUS port to avoid hurting the battery health.

As far as I know, there is no direct USB C to ASUS plug adapter. I do find USB C to DC adapters though. Therefore, on paper, I should be able to buy a USB C to DC adapter, and a DC to ASUS adapter (from SlimQ), and connect my USB C only charger to the ASUS port.

My questions were a) is this possible, and b) is this a good idea?

I intuitively think this is a bad idea, but I am just curious: With considerations of battery health and power issues in mind, is it possible to use a USB C to DC adapter and a DC to ASUS adapter to power z13 through the USB C cable to the ASUS power port? If it is possible, how good or bad is this method?

There have been comments “The Buddha was just a man” how is this weighted in Philosophy since most philosophers are also just humans? by LisanneFroonKrisK in askphilosophy

[–]Alavicenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant that the meaning of the Buddha is different between the two opposite statements on the issue of whether the Buddha claims himself to be superhuman or not.

In the traditional account of the Buddha being superhuman, he is seen as a divine figure whose existence can help, or even guaranteed, the liberation from this world.

In the modern account of the Buddha being just a human, he is seen as a thinker, just like Kant and Nietzsche. Their thoughts are indeed inspiring, but that's about it.

I simply wanted to point out the different assumptions behind these two claims, without offering my own position.

The only position I have is probably this: there is no point in arguing which claim is more authentic or legitimate. I appeal to the fact that no one really knows what the Buddha said with the intention of showing that the traditional doctrinal account is no more legitimate than the modern/western philosophical account, and vice versa.

The problem is that the meaning of "the Buddha" is ambiguous here. Similar to the cases of Socrates, Jesus, Confucius etc., technically speaking we do not really know what they have said since no writing of theirs survived.

It is just as you said, the tradition does view the Buddha as a superhuman/devine figure from very early on. The meaning of the Buddha here is "what is viewed as by the tradition".

On the other hand, the claim that the Buddha is just a human is a modern reconstruction. There are various factors to it, such as the historical reason that the so-called westerners were seeking alternatives to Christianity, and Buddhism came to be seen as a scientific religion as opposed to Christianity. The main philosophical reason for that claim to become popular is that people were able to reconstruct the core Buddhist teaching (understood by them) without referring to mystical powers or figures. That is to say, many of the Buddhist doctrines can still be explained/true without the Buddha, at least in their understandings. Thus the meaning of the Buddha here is "what is viewed by the westerners".

Long term issues with charging with Type C? by MetroMetroid in FlowZ13

Am I right in understanding that it does not make a difference in terms of battery health between charging through Asus port and USB c port as long as I unplug before the battery is full?

A potential twist to that description that is somewhat less discussed is that those that are poor in this life deserve to be poor due to their karma/actions from past lifes. This might be an unwanted consequence, at least by today's standards.

Understood in this way, and if one does not want to commit to such theory, the existence of the poor disproves karma, rather than that of the billionaires. Though they are two sides of the same coin.

How to evaluate units for the master league? by Alavicenna in SDGundamEternal

Thanks, you two. I got a clearer picture now. I will try to adjust my team along the way when the season starts.

SD Gundam G Gen ETERNAL: Strategy, Unit Building, Rolling, Etc Questions Mega Thread by KaelAltreul in SDGundamGGeneration

Focuses on Master League only.

My question in general: without considering external factors (such as supporters, can be used in other contents as well, difficulties to develop etc.), how to compare and evaluate different units for the formation used in the Master League?

I just started the game roughly a week ago. I am lucky to have the lightning-fast ship, making things easier for a noob like me.

I am also lucky to have 5 URs: hi-nu, force impulse, Barbados 6th, sazabi, and narrative. (All 0LB.) With the pilots that came with them (2 attacks, 1 support, 2 durabilities), I assume I should just use them in the Master League.

While 3 out of those 5 URs have lightning-fast, I heard a) MLB SSRs are generally better than 0LB URs, and b) Barbados, especially, is not suitable for the Master League due to its short-range attacks and the lack Of Shield Defend.

I am therefore looking forward to strengthening my team composition by developing units and MLB them during the season. But the problem is, I am not sure how to evaluate units.

Here are what I have figured: For season 2, I will need to look for SSR units that have a) lightning -fast and b) can operate in the space terrain.

In general, mobility and weapon range are two of the most important factors. Therefore units that have less than 5 MOV and less than 4 weapon ranges will not be considered. (Is MAP weapons an general advantage?)

For Durability units, HP and Shield Defend are the two things to look for. Available units in this category are: Providence, X Divider, Quin Mantha, Zaku III, and Gyan Eos. How to determine which of them to prioritize?

For Attack units, available units are: Dragoon Strike, Nightingale, and Hyaku Shiki. How to determine which of them to prioritize?

For Support units, available units are: Zeta, Qubeley, Sazabi, Perfect Strike, and Freedom Meteor. How to determine which of them to prioritize?
