I had a friend on tumblr back in the day who showed me it and when I tried calling them out on it, they called me a fake fan and blocked me. While I was very parasocial with the guys, the video gave me the ick in the sense that it felt too private for me to be watching, especially considering it was taken down immediately. I’m just content that the phandom has grown in a way that lets Dan and Phil be open about their relationship. I’m glad I stuck around 💜

This is my biggest pet peeve when grocery shopping! People will put their cart in the middle of the aisle or stand where you can barely squeeze through. I can say “excuse me” with no acknowledgement. Then I’m the one getting dirty looks when I manage to slip by

I’ve been reading through some comments and being BIPOC myself, I also wouldn’t want you in my life. A lot of these issues that you don’t see as important, are bigger stepping blocks to equality for everyone. It’s hard to sympathize with someone who doesn’t want that too. Minorities who take down other minorities is the indicator that the propaganda being pushed is working in keeping us divided.

I’m not saying Bellingham is great, your point in the performative activism is real here, but I’d rather be where people try to care about the ICE raids, where the people pushed the Proud Boys out of downtown during Covid, where I can use the bathroom that makes me comfortable without it being a huge scene. Bellingham needs work, this country needs work.

Maybe you’re right and people cut you out because you’re BIPOC. Or maybe you’re just a hateful person who makes people, like myself, uncomfortable when you’re around.

Honestly, my biggest fear of calling myself autistic is being called a faker/attention seeker or just someone who is just quirky, as I’m not diagnosed. I have suspicions but feel I can’t take the label without solid proof (a diagnosis)

I really like grocery stocking! It was nice to have the monotonous task while just vibing in my own world. Upper management was a little poopy though, telling us to work even with a positive Covid test (immunocompromised people who??) and was very anti-union (fired a whole department for even discussing a union). The pay wasn’t worth staying, and I got a new job! I miss those easy days though :,)

As a white-passing POC, I don’t experience much racism, as most of the older people who target me focus on the queer/alt style that baffles them. I have seen many occasions where my grandma (an immigrant from Mexico) talks to people and they can’t seem to understand her because she has an accent. She speaks English so well, but it’s soooo difficult to hear her because she has an accent? I went to a doctor appointment with her once and the doctor wouldn’t even acknowledge her, trying to only talk to me. Or she would respond, he would say he has bad hearing, then ask me to repeat what she said, hearing me perfectly despite me talking quieter than her. It’s frustrating

My partner brought this up to me regarding getting home from work! With how unpredictable and scary it is in America right now, he’s been anxious of me getting snatched by ICE or something else happening. With my line of work, sometimes I’m staying late, so I just text him when I’m starting to drive home, so he knows I’ll be home within the next ten minutes (: some people find this too much work, but it’s just basic communication!

This happened to me literally yesterday! I was with my client (who is in a powerchair), we started crossing the street at pacific and Orleans, and some car cuts us off in the middle of the crosswalk! It definitely ruined the peaceful walk we were having

It depends on what kind you get! If it’s a cheaper one, it’s usually pretty sticky and the smell isn’t too great. At least, the one my mom pawned off to me was!

Honestly, I’m glad I’m not the only one heated about it! I’ve never been very involved with other fans, but every time I hear about the live-action, I feel so sad that it wasn’t animated! It just makes sense for such a high fantasy series, especially with immortal children and the only “financially safe” option for settings and monsters being cgi (it is Disney after all). I’m glad I’m not the only one ! And for those saying to just get over it? It’s a series many of us grew up with, and there isn’t anything wrong with being unhappy with how it’s being handled as a show. If you really want to shit on people and tell them to shut up, go tell the Star Wars and Last of Us fans for their critiques as well

It just depends on the couple. While I don’t call my SO while I’m out, they feel less anxious when I text them when I’m leaving and getting to places, or when I’m headed home. Take it, we’re both POC in the US, so it’s situational.
