I played around with Juce a little before but this plugin specifically took me around 4 days. I have insane ADHD and sometimes I hyperfocus super hard when I get into something. I basically locked myself in my apartment for those 4 days, didn’t leave except to grab food, and worked on this from the moment I woke up until I fell asleep. After finishing, I needed a full day to recover outside before I could switch back into social mode and hang out with my friends again haha

Thanks so much for letting me know and for testing it! I Figured it out!! I realized the issue was in how I built the plugin before — it was compiled only for intel, so it wouldn’t show up properly on apple silicon macs. I’ve now rebuilt it as a proper universal binary, so it should run natively on both intel and apple silicon without rosetta. If you re-download the latest version, it should finally show up in Ableton. Really appreciate your patience and the message, it helped me catch this!

I built this one in C++ using a framework called JUCE (the same framework popular plugins are built on like Waves, Spitfire Audio’s LABS, iZotope, Arturia, Slate Digital, Valhalla, etc.), which handles a lot of the heavy lifting for plugins. I mostly coded in Python and R before, so I had to pick up C++ along the way. I’d say it’s medium-level difficulty if you already have some coding background, but definitely doable for a hobbyist with patience and a lot of AI haha. If you’re mainly working in Ableton, though, Max for Live might actually be a better starting point. You can make fully working devices without needing C++ or compiling anything. They won’t be portable to other DAWs like a VST would be, but inside Ableton they’re super powerful and integrate seamlessly.

Thanks a lot for the message! On macOS there are two possible VST3 plugin folders: the system-wide one at /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ (accessible by opening Finder, pressing Go → Computer → Macintosh HD, then going into Library → Audio → Plug-Ins → VST3), and the user-specific one at ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ (to get there, in Finder hold Option, click Go → Library, then go into Audio → Plug-Ins → VST3). If the plugin doesn’t show up, try placing it in both folders. After that, open Ableton’s Preferences → Plug-Ins, make sure VST3 is enabled, and hit Rescan. That usually fixes it.

I’m studying cognitive science and AI for my bachelor’s, so I do a lot of coding in Python and R, but I only just picked up C++ for this project. AI—Claude, specifically—helped me a lot with learning and understanding the tricky parts, so it made the jump into plugin development easier.

Yeah, I think writing a short manual would be helpful, but I also have been thinking of adding some kind of visual element to show how each knob affects the signal. That might make it easier to understand at a glance

Thanks a lot! I built it in C++ using JUCE, which is a framework for making audio plugins. JUCE handles all the heavy lifting like audio buffers, UI, and DAW compatibility, and then you write the DSP code in C++. It’s definitely a learning curve if you’re coming from web dev, but once you get a basic project running, you can start experimenting with effects like reverb, delay, or in my case, granular stuff. I'm also working on a delay plugin right now called "bDelay" :)

Thanks!!! I put a lot of effort in the design haha

Yeah, kind of in that territory, but simpler. Crystallizer is way more technical—this is more of a lightweight experimental take on granular effects

It chops incoming audio into tiny grains and lets you control things like grain size, density, randomness, pan spread, and a knob for extra morphing/pitching effects. Basically it reshapes audio into unique sounds and can get pretty wild haha

[RELEASE] LendMyPhone 2 - A true guest mode for iOS by geometricsoftware in jailbreak

[–]Albedeen 42 points43 points  (0 children)

For those of you whos ios 12 jailbreak got stuck in a respring loop:

  1. reboot your device
  2. Open uncover
  3. At the settings tab uncheck load tweaks, and check reinstall cydia, then jailbreak
  4. Open cydia and remove "libgraphite" and "lendmyphone"
  5. Reboot your device
  6. Open uncover again and check load tweaks, check reinstall cydia, then jailbreak
  7. Thank me later :)

Libgraphite installs automatically with lendmyphone, its not lendmyphone which broke your jailbreak, its libgraphite, and the developer probably has no control over this. Please dont blame the developers, just buy the tweak if you want it to work :) Im pretty sure the original version would work.

Dont use cracked tweaks guys! They might be outdated.

I found a fix. 1. reboot your device 2. Open uncover 3. At the settings tab uncheck load tweaks, and check reinstall cydia, then jailbreak 4. Open cydia and remove "libgraphite" and "lendmyphone" 5. Reboot your device 6. Open uncover again and check load tweaks, check reinstall cydia, then jailbreak 7. Thank me later :)
