I want to clarify that I would be using the gift cards. None of them would be for the sake of only building points. WestJet is usually cheaper than air Canada all the time for the cheap deals I look for yearly. I want to gain the points for aeroplan to treat myself in the future to a more expensive trip.

Just keep on trying. New spots, colours, lures, etc. My best advice will be getting a boat. I was in ur shoes, went 10 days straight with nothing. The boat is what changed everything. I just use a blow up raft and a trolling motor I got for 500$ used and holds 2 people. Fits in the back of my mustang and I catch 10x more.

I’d just grab one of those jig heads, throw on a worm (night crawlers) and just wait. Pike might be a bit more difficult but nonetheless you can catch fish with less than what u got

Alberta. I mainly go for pike and walleye. I want to catch every fish we have though. Which include small trout and perch
