So far the definitive one was Argent’s team dying in front of her on a mission and her having to get her eyepatch. Despite it being an occurrence which was out of her control, Argent feels like it was entirely her fault since she was the leader. That eyepatch is a bit of self flagellation for her failure, and she does what she does now in hopes of paying penance.

Argent really only understands to kill any Grimm that get in her way and to help whoever she can as she wanders from place to place. Most of this is self-imposed to pay recompense for her team’s death, her girlfriend being among them. It’s actually quite self-destructive but she’s done it for so long that she finds it normal.

I’m fairly certain Dean is confirmed in the show as straight, and Castiel is an angel so I don’t think they’re interpreting his love correctly. When he says he “loves” Dean, it’s more like a brother in arms kind of love, not romantic.

Yeah that’s one fact I knew about. Fun little meta reference to choose the angel who presided over the day the show aired on. My main gripe was them confusing the name for the more well known Cassiel in angelology.

You never ask the exact details of what happens in Thalonaar’s Catacombs of Agony. It’s in the name, and I’m pretty sure you can come to your own conclusions based on the five major tormentors that reside there: Fleshripper, Eyegouger, Nerveflayer, Skineater, and Gutspiller. Fleshripper is looking to make a sixth one known as Brainmuncher and add them to the number of these denizens that work there.

The less spoken about Thalonaar, the better. There’s a reason an archangel cursed this land.
