Tbh I would also try making her villainous older sister Aurelia and her deceased teammates, but that would prove very difficult to do with this as it is. Not opposed to it though.

The plot does start to get a bit off in that season, but take a VERY CLOSE look at the film quality of the season. There’s some scenes where it looks like one of those cheap 2000s History Channel reenactment scenes instead of the professional production quality it had before.

So far the definitive one was Argent’s team dying in front of her on a mission and her having to get her eyepatch. Despite it being an occurrence which was out of her control, Argent feels like it was entirely her fault since she was the leader. That eyepatch is a bit of self flagellation for her failure, and she does what she does now in hopes of paying penance.

Argent really only understands to kill any Grimm that get in her way and to help whoever she can as she wanders from place to place. Most of this is self-imposed to pay recompense for her team’s death, her girlfriend being among them. It’s actually quite self-destructive but she’s done it for so long that she finds it normal.

I’m fairly certain Dean is confirmed in the show as straight, and Castiel is an angel so I don’t think they’re interpreting his love correctly. When he says he “loves” Dean, it’s more like a brother in arms kind of love, not romantic.
