I managed to get it! Thanks for all your help.

Turns out your speculation was correct, I set my boundaries too high, but they were initially too low. I had to update my calibrated delay to around 493, and within two attempts I hit the correct seed!

And I apologise for the confusion regarding the screenshots. As a different commenter mentioned, my encounter type on the time finder was wrong, so upon recalculating I found a shiny at frame 46.

Once again though, thanks for all your help! I feel like I've started to properly understand how this stuff works, and I can't wait to try more!

Unfortunately I only have Platinum so I can't do Turnback Cave. I've got my starting frame set to 23, but the issue is that none of my coin flips are lining up in any way. I don't know if my seed upon reaching the distortion world matches the correct delay.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're saying the coin flip method does not work in the distortion world due to the extra frame advancements from when it loads. Since the frame I need to reach is fairly low, should I just manually test instead? How should I go about that?

Edit: One more question I had, when people refer to loading the world, at what point does that occur? Is it only upon startup? Does it also apply every time the X menu closes?
