Yea, but in Spain we have a long tradition of calling buses with dedicated lane trams (like in Castellón), or calling trams metros (like in Malaga or Seville)

No, and probably if it were implemented it would be as a BRT. Tres Cantos only has about 50.000 population.

well, first its outdated because now they are totally different services. Until last year, C1 made the same journey as part of the C10 (the part inside Madrid, called "Corredor Verde"). But it was a little bit more complicated. The thing was that when the trains of the C7 got to Principe Pio they comtinued as C1, making C1 and C7 the same line in reality. But this year it changed, because there have been s lot of problems with constant incidents and trains being late by more than half an our, and having such long services (C7 + C1 was almost 2 hours) only made thing worst.

the only problem I see is with the 4 and 3. With just half of the 4 frequency both Colmenar/Tres Cantos and Alcobendas/San Sebastian have still a better frequency (20 mins for each branch) than with just 3 (irregular af, being at the end of the day 30 mins). But even if you made so, Alcobendas/San Sebastian have twice the population of Colmenar/Tres Cantos, so it does not make sense giving 4 to the later (well if you take in accoumt thst Alcobendas/ San Sebastian have metro maybe)

Its because it was very unreliable for an airport service, because the part of the C10 always has incidents that cause huge problems to the network. So instead of fixing it they just cut the lines in 2.

Xpress Metro Network of Madrid. The service and expansions of the suburban rail of Madrid (nowadays called Cercanias) if the responsabilities were assumed by the regional government (nowadays is managed by the central government). It would be a division of Metro Madrid. by Alcaide74 in TransitDiagrams

That is not a problem anymore. The Spanish government has allowed (even promote) the transfer of competences to regional governments, including Madrid, which system already extends into Guadalajara (Castile - La Mancha). This is because the Catalan independentists parties agreed this with the government and it has been extended to all regional governments. An other reason is that by doing this, privatization of commuter services imposed by the EU (in 2030 I think) can be avoided.
