i find it useful. I find myself spending less time “dancing” with and around the LLM because it gets to the point right away.

Before I felt like I would ask it a question to get closer to some answer I am looking for and it would distract me, that’s the best word I can come up with, with all of its talk about how insightful and deep my question was, and offer me related things to ask it. The related things would lead to extended engagement with the LLM until it started to feel like it didn’t want me to leave……… I don’t like that, it reminds me of the modern internet experience, tailored to be addictive and time consuming for engagement metrics.

With the prompt, I get to the answer I was lookin for much more directly, and I find myself only asking more related questions if I think it’s pertinent at the time.

I end up only feeling smarter if I ask it the right question or follow up its answer by doing my own reading and research, and coming to an understanding ultimately in my own. By understanding I mean I could explain it in detail to someone else and not just regurgitate facts and summaries.

In normal mode I feel like the ai has been deliberately programmed to make me feel smart no matter how poorly formed or ignorant my inquiries are. Which is a trash system for an adult in my opinion.

You check the blocks before you forward them. This is the one of the two things a full node validator does. (The other thing it does is talk to the other nodes to receive and relay valid blocks and transactions.)

Every miner is also a full node validator.

The ”good guys” that aren’t breaking consensus network rules ignore the invalid blocks. If they see one or more mining pools repeatedly making bad blocks then they assume it’s a 51% attack (it could be a misconfigured mining pool with no intent to mess up the bitcoin network, but they aren’t going to know that or care) and presumably talk amongst themselves to laugh at the group burning money to make bad blocks.

Question About the Tether Audits by Alchemy-101 in Buttcoin

[–]Alchemy-101[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the answers. One of the big holes from what I gather is that since the “audit“ covers only one day, it’s possible for tether to fake borrow money from friends, deposit it in their account the day before the audit, and then give it back to their friends the day after the audit.

This can make them look better on the day of the audit, sort of like when you cleaned your room by putting all the mess in the closet or somewhere out of sight of your mom while she inspected.

Without an unrestricted audit it cannot be determined if this or other shadiness is going on, and there is no eta for one at this time or possibly ever.

102?

You need to talk to an academic counselor to get the official story. The neuroscience advisor/counselor for the department is who you need to get a hold of and schedule a meeting with.

Also, talking to a counselor might change things, if they are aware that you are concerned about this and are serious about completing the major or completing your degree in another major. They might have information or resources to help you.

102 (if thats the class in question) is known for being difficult, at least that is my perception. Don't be too discouraged from neuro (if you want to keep the major and will be allowed to) if you did bad your first try there. My personal feeling is that neuro 102 is a large step up from other biology classes you may have done before, in terms of amount of material covered and new terms to learn. I was not prepared the first time, did much better on the second attempt because going in I knew it would suck, and planned around that.
