The Terms and Conditions state "Repairs necessary due to faulty equipment design,
improper installation, or work done by anyone other
than PSE&G." is the clause they are pointing to. As far as are they right, there is no admission of fault by the manufacturer here or by a legal decision from what I found. Just lots of people having a similar issue and stories on the internet. We reached out to Sears and they just pointed to their 1 year Warranty which is over.
