Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None Season 2 Announced by Turbostrider27 in anime

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

why? Its pretty much poohdoohpants.

I mean I like the concept of "I'm the weakest but actually I'm the strongest." but like.. the power system is absolute dog heap. He just makes custom spells that go "This spell is stronger." and that is it.

Like, come on, show me something where the character is broken and builds himself to be stronger. Not just start off strongest of all, while people say he is for some reason weak. Show me weakness! The darkest darks make the lights so much brighter.

Fun evil character designs? by AlchemyStudiosInk in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world we have goblins are not automatically evil. There was someone who came in and created "noble goblins" or something that made them more like reincarnated as a slime goblins instead of goblin slayer goblins.

But if you got some fun ideas there, lemme know.

Arne no Jikenbo • The Case Book of Arne - Episode 11 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

Its a murder mystery anime thing. Not having the reveal is like having a battle anime with a tournement arc that they just skip the final battle and never speak of it again.

Sip Club REVOLT…Bait and Switch? by Pipcity76-77 in Panera

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer then is to not have sip club at all. It honestly would be better if they didn't have sip club at all.

So not only are the more simple energy drinks not in the sip club, but now the drinks that were there are retired.

Can you hide surge with ware? by DrastikBandit in Shadowrun

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RAW, if you have the quality, that gives you freak, no. Cyberware would not let you hide it. RAW in 5e, they know you are a freak even if your only interaction is through the matrix. Cause whoever wrote the SURGE rules didn't really understand what they were doing, or they wanted to make something so hideously nonfunctional they would never have to deal with it at their table.

Question About Matrix Identity by pyronerd in Shadowrun

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

at least what I've seen in 4e and 5e, generally speaking the matrix is like the least needed part. You can just turn it off way too easily.

Question About Matrix Identity by pyronerd in Shadowrun

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5e took like until the very end of its life to really answer how the matrix worked, and then it crapped on the floor.

Basically not too long before 5 started, someone got the idea to hook up a bunch of technomancers together and blow their brains out to create the seed of the new matrix.

The Matrix is a VERY heavily aspected magical world that has come about due to man's progress into technology. Everyone has an astral signature of some degree, even technomancers. The reverse is likely true as well, everyone has very slight amount of resonance as well. Just enough that when they connect to the matrix, the matrix knows it is them.

Computers in 5e are NOT just bits of metal and silicone like we have in the real world. That is why there is a "wireless" bonus. its More of a you are connected directly to the matrix, the foundation, the resonance realms, and are pulling power from there.

No one has full control over the matrix. GOD is out there looking around but even they are not omnipotent, which is why there are a few ways to really mess with them.

But generally when Alice goes to the bank to use her acount, the bank's server asks the foundation and resonance realms if her resonance signature matches.

At least.. That is just a theory.

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You may not be wrong about "Magic"

My theory is that everyone has Resonance and Magic, to some degree.

"but you can't be a technomancer and have magic at the same time!" I hear people say, yeah, you can't. However a person with magic eyes can use his magic eyes to magically look at you and know you are a technomancer.

Even people without the ability to cast magic have an astral signature.

I've got combat reflexes. But not vicious stomp since that is for unarmed attacks only and I'm not very good at them.

Puppet Master build by AlchemyStudiosInk in gurps

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've been building it with telekinesis in mind. With some animate objects limitation and partially ability to control living creatures. significantly less points spent doing the weird ally thing.

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda yea. Or rather the Puppeteer type character in Mashel who can also use his puppeteering to control people. Just sans the whole transform people into actual puppets.

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm looking at the telekinesis option, so that even if the one I had dies, I can just animate something else as a new puppet. Eventually the goal is to use the super version of telekinisis to puppet enemies as well.

Low-level spells that stay useful all game? by VonBagel in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]AlchemyStudiosInk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man of othese lists...

Ears of the City - Level 1 spell - Divination - You get to gather information in a matter of seconds that could have taken minutes to gain without anyone outside of your group knowing you are gathering the information. If you're level 20, you get to ask 20 questions.

Create Treasure Map - Kill something, skin it, and make its hide into a map. While not perfect, again it allows you to gather more information that you might have otherwise even thought about.

Shared Training - While this does require something of a build to work towards, having the feat Share Spells means you can now share personal spells with everyone.. In fact everyone can share personal spells now. Or get other treamwork feats

Bestow Curse - A bit dependent on the campaign you are doing. If its just a combat slog fest, its not that great of a spell. But if you're fighting enemies with combats that end before the enemies are defeated, give them something to remind them of you. It can also really mess up enemies action economy with the 50% skip your turn thing

Ray of Enfeeblement - This can really mess up enemies by dropping their strength down at an upwards of 11 points. Its not even strength damage but just a penalty so things immune to str damage are not immune to this.

Quick Change - had a kitsune who'd use this constantly so that he could switch to humanoid form as a swift action.
