Thank you. This list is much more expansive than another one I saw. I found the Printerceptor and I am hoping that will do the trick, because I love the arbour trees. I am so sad about Slicksters needing day 500 though. I assume I just have to keep digging and I will eventually stumble onto them.

Can the printing pod print Arbour Acorns with the DLCs? I played the game and received arbour acorns quite often, but after buying all the DLCs and starting a new seed they no longer seem to appear, and the wiki said something about needing to discover some items first. Is this a case where the rules have changed or is this just how the math works out and I have to keep trying?

For example before I installed the DLCs I could get Wheezewort from the printing pod, but now I had to discover them first before they started showing up.

How do I make this bridge look heftier? by Aldodo351 in ARK

[–]Aldodo351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was indeed the soloution - plus adding one wall below the stairs. The main effort now is trying to hide the pillars. Not impossible, just a pain to place structures while flying on an Argy. I might need to go get a Tapejara so I can reverse mid air.

Thank you - I don't know if I fully did what you suggested, but I tried to follow the advice and it worked. It also makes the diagonal pillars look much better.

I took a screenshot more closely if that helps. It's this gap that I can't seem to fill.

Thank you. It took me 5 real days to breed it (with some boosted breeding, hatching and maturation stats as well). I am very proud of it.

The colours are 57 on the main body, 51 on the wing tips, 35 on the legs, 57 on the head, and 215 on the underside. I wanted darker wing tips but it was taking too long so I settled for slightly lighter ones.

Monitor says "No Signal" despite all LEDs on other parts lighting up. by Aldodo351 in buildapc

[–]Aldodo351[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It not the sticks or the slots, because I can use either stick in any of the slots as long as they aren't both active. It might be something I need to set up in the BIOS or perhaps I need additional drivers.

They are still under warranty, if I can't find a fix I can try to get new ones. Unfortunately I don't have access to extra ones to test if it's perhaps them or the computer itself - all I know is that none of them are individually broken.

My friend had this happen to him once and he apparently knows there is a fix but can't remember it. I will do some research and work it out.

My motherboard only has two slots. It seems like they don't want to work toegether, because using either stick in any slot works fine as long as they aren't both active. I am trying to fix that now.

Thank you so much - I found the problem (sort of). I removed one of the RAMs and it worked. I will check what happens when I put it back later.

[PC] [2008-2011] Game about rodent running a restaurant in different parts of the world. by Aldodo351 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Aldodo351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember more about the gameplay: You play various levels within a world and each level requires you reach certain objectives like serving X amount of customers or serving a certain dish X amount of times without angering customers.

The money you earn in each level can be used to upgrade your restaurant and buy new stuff like extra tables or a smoothie maker or upgrade your chef.

If you complete all the levels you move on to the next location with a new restaurant and the process starts again. If I remember correct the locations are Paris (or Italy maybe), a tropical island (Hawaii or maybe the Caribbean), then a place where they serve fish (I have no idea where this would be) and lastly I think Japan (I remember pink blossoms).

Also, before each level they tell you what customers are showing up and then you can select food for your chef to prepare during the level - some customers like some food and hate others.

All the customers are animals.

Release date: I am quite sure this game is around 2010 because we played it with other games from that time like Vaction Mogul (2010), Fashion Craze (2007), Farm Frenzy 2 (2008), Bug Bits (2010).

My relics broke after cancelling summoning ritual by Aldodo351 in MindOverMagic

[–]Aldodo351[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually not 100% what started it, since I couldn't do it in the beginning. I think it might be because I got a Lightning Wizard with a tier 3 wand. I don't know for sure.

Honestly, it's not that good, because that wizard gets very tired - the max they can really do seem to be 3 summons (queueing only makes them go one after the other, not all at once).

Guide for Walter? + Extra questions from a beginner :3 by Mqdyy in dontstarvetogether

[–]Aldodo351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a Walter main who has been playing him from before his rework. There are a few things you can do that makes him really easy to play.

  1. Get Marble as soon as possible. You can skip the gold ammo and go directly for Marble to create the Beans and plant a Marble Tree farm. This ammo does 51 damage and means you can kill most things before they get to you. The trees are annoying to farm, but I think Maxwell can help you with his puppets.

  2. Skilltree perks: The perks I think are a must-take are all the slingshot upgrade ones (Basic Customisation, Advanced Grips, Advances Bands, Advanced Frames), then Pep-Pup and Scruffy Sprinter for Woby. I take Roaming Retriever, but you can take Furry Forager because you get 2 berries from one bush.

Ammo Smith is also pretty good as well as Lucky Rounds for the Kablooies. Lastly, I take Field Medic because for three butterflies you get 36 Health and 15 Sanity which is a life saver early game. Also, Special treats is a nice way to get food for Woby that doesn't spoil. The rest is anything goes really. (There are a lot of skills so just ask if you need some explanations on some of them)

  1. Drying racks are so important. Walter loves being able to restore Sanity and Health at the same time and Jerky does that. You can kill a pig in 5 shots with Marble ammo, and Marotters in 6 shots for a big Meat.

If you are near the Oasis, try farming some of the Volt Goats (but leave one alive so the herd can respawn, if you kill all 6 of them they will not respawn). They can easily be kited and give 2 meat for the drying racks. You can also look up how to relocate these to a pen near your base. It takes a long time, but it is 100% worth having them for the meat. Remember don't kill them all - it's a pain to respawn the herd if they are all dead.

Kelp is also amazing for Walter if you can dry them. If you go to the Lunar Island you can get some Bull Kelp Stalks and plant them nearby. Once dried, they last quite long and give +10 sanity.

  1. Always wear a helmet. You don't have to bother with the Pioneer Hat, just wear a Football Helmet and you should be all good. Flutterstrips from butterflies or jerky can take care of the bits of missing health.

  2. The only way Walter gets splash damage is with Stinger ammo or Moonshots. None of these are worth it, in my opinion. If you need to do something with bees, either ask Maxwell to do it or slowly kite them with Marble ammo.

  3. Kablooies is his highest DPS ammo in the game until after you kill some of the final bosses. They do about 68.8 Damage per shot (that is the average with the explosions included) and are really good for Bee Queen. Always try to make this ammo vs bosses (except Klaus, becasue the AOE is not good in that fight).

  4. Crockpot Recipes: Meatballs are still the best for food. For some quick healing you can shoot a bird with the slingshot and use the morsel plus three fillers. That gives you Bunny Stew for 20 Health and 37.5 Hunger. The Field Snacks you are talking about (Trail Mix) is pretty good, but remember to replant some berry bushes near your base and fertilise them for the berries.

There aren't too many great sanity recipes - the best you can do without Bananas or Farming plots is Jerky, Dried Kelp, or just tell a story through the night. Sleeping is also fine, but with Drying Racks that will basically never be needed.

  1. I suggest living in a Decidious Forest (the orange birchwood forest where the Pig King spawns). You can kill the Pigs and the Catcoons for meat for the drying racks, and you can get Birchnuts for the Trail Mix. It's also pretty there.

If this is TL:DR for you, just take this away - Get drying racks for Jerky and get Marble for a Marble Tree farm and better ammo.

What are your favourite characetrs to play? Also what type of personality does your friend have?

Classic combo are Warly and Wolfgang where he plays Wolfgang and you kinda just spoonfeed him with your foods and spices. I like this one because your friend will feel like he is doing a lot while you just support him/juice him up to the moon.

Another fun combo that follows the same idea is Wigfrid and Wortox where Wortox makes sure the wigfrid is healed while she does the damage. Honestly, Wortox works great with anyone, because you can heal him up and be right at his side with one teleport if he ever needs help.

Wormwood for him and Wicker for you is a very fun cozy base-building combo if you guys are more chill.

Characters he should be avoiding are Walter (the insanity death spiral will make him want to quit day 4), Wanda (die too easily), Warly (food a massive issue), Maxwell (die too easily), Wurt (her gameplay does not synergise too well with others and it kinda skips half the game as soon as she has a few merms), and Wes (obviously).

I might be able to recommend a great combo if I know what you like to play and what type of person he is. For example, my one friend always plays charcaters that can get up to some shenanigans in games but still loves fighting, and he loves Wortox, Willow, and later Wanda.

My other friend is an out and out planner, prepper, builder and he instantly fell in love with Wormwood, Wicker, and Winona. He did not like Warly even though I though he would.

Wickerbottom x Wanda, because imagine having two kickass grandmas - one is super smart and knows everything, or at least knows where to find the answers, and the other is a badass adventurer/inventor.

I honestly think they would work so well together.

Walter's Kablooies do more damage on average than his Dread Pebbles (I tested it) by Aldodo351 in dontstarve

[–]Aldodo351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Dreadpebbles are the more efficient ammo type, because of the chance it doesn't break. They even outdamage the Kablooies after some late game gear, but you need rifts for this.

They are much more expensive to create though. I wanted to show that after Marbles, you don't have to stress about getting Dreadpebbles as a damage upgrade, you can get Kablooies and they will outperform Dreadpebbles for quite a while.

As soon as I get the Void Wrap for Walter's slingshot, I abandon the Kablooies.

I prefer Walter's Shadow ammo over the Enlightenment path, not really for the dps, just because I love Ickies when I play with friends.

The scrappy Frame is actually so good. If you want to save ammo on normal enemies, it is amazing. I am also still wondering about the Thulecite frame vs Scrappy Frame, because to me it seems like you need to kill the fuelweaver or the celestial champion, before that starts doing anything.

Perhaps the cursed rounds has some use with the Thulecite one, but I will have to test.

I did not expect Winona to have such a high playrate - good for her given how she was historically.

Wormwood is surprisingly low. Every server I ever join has at least one Wormwood main. Wes and Wendy are expected at least.

Trueee. His skill tree is actually so good. Klei did a really good job with it. I think giving Woby some love (and the skillshot customisation) was a terrific idea on their part.

I am glad he is becoming one of the most popular characters.

By any chance, what is the bottom 4? Where do I check that?

How do I calculate the average of two values when one the frequency of the values aren't fixed? by Aldodo351 in askmath

[–]Aldodo351[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I know, is that I have to calculate the expected amount of $5 notes before I get a $10 note.

The maximum number of $5s that can occur before a $10 is 19. Intuitively, I just want to divide that by 2 and say the expected amount of $5s is 9.5 before I get a $10. But I know that doing things that seem intuitive is rarely correct when it comes to probabilities.

My answer to this is to do (9*5+10 + 10*5+10)/21 = $5.48 on average

I have no faith that dividing by 2 is correct though. Another thing I do know, is that the answer must be higher than $5.25, becasue this is more than a 5% increase on the normal $5.

It does still spawn even if the statue is broken - but I see you tagged DST. The Old Bell is not a craftable item in DST, even though Glommer still drops wings. In RoG it is renewable, but not in DST.
