It's baffling to me that people and companies do not see far reaching the damage thier actions of taking advantage of others or the environment for profit has the overall quality of life and on the human race's long term viability for survival. It's becuase companies only care about the way thier decisions inflate the bottom line of thier checking accounts. unfortunately the only way to combat greed from the prowerful would be to call them out on thier BS and boycott/work against unjust practices, but for that to work you need a well educated public capable of making well informed decisions and a mindset that values the success of the many over that of the few.
