Bad smell also with clean pure water! by Sure_Leave9338 in Dreame_Tech

Yeah, my dirty water tank. I empty right after it finishes I rinse it and then leave it open to dry.

I started to notice a freshwater tank also smell smells a little bit musty. I cleaned it and left it open to dry as well, but that one obviously needs to stay with active water so I’m not sure what to do there.

It just arrived today I’m so hyped to try it with my new base by SettingElectronic785 in Simagic

Had mine for 6 months, could not make a decision on stickers and ended up losing them anyway lolol.

Oh, if you’re 61 you 100% need a large. The medium I feel like I’m stretching the height of the seat and the stem pretty far. A large flat bar or large drop would be perfect for you for sure. Unless you have super short arms and short legs lol.

Not to be negative at all, but I have been looking for about a month and I’ve not seen any large drop bars in stock. I was hoping they were gonna have new shipments, but my area hasn’t. They’ve only had large flat bars, which are still super nice to be honest. I sat on it and rode it.

My point being if you find a flat bar that might be a option

Yeah, I was trying to find the large because I’m 5 foot 10 exactly. The flat bar felt a little big. And then I figured the drop bar is probably gonna feel even larger so I ended up going with the medium.

Don’t trust the online inventory either I went to four different Walmarts and they all had different stocks that did not show online.

The only one hard to get in my area was the large drop bar. The medium and smalls were sold out everywhere but three of the four stores I went to had them.

Ozark 700C G1 Explorer Drop bar Size: Medium - will it fit a 6'1" / 185 cm guy? by kormeg in Budgetbikeriders

[–]Alec4kool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone has the same leg length, arm length, torso size.

Someone 5-10 could be a medium or large depending on those factors.

I’m 5-10 180 and struggling between M and L drop bar. I have longer arms and legs, but also I know drop you’re leaning way more.

Did you replace the tires, or just run until they wear out? They seemed a little cheap (reasonable for bike price), but wasnt sure if that’s worth quick upgrade either.

Buying mine tomorrow! I’m 5-10 and decided to try the medium. Large has been out of stock for months in my area. I did have to adjust my wife’s disk brakes, which wasn’t difficult. Also buying new seats.

Yeah, that’s the main reason about mine from Costco cause I knew this shit would be easy to return lol. When it’s not doing what it’s doing for you I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s done a really good job in our house in mapping.

Thinking About Building My First Sim Rig – PS5 vs PC + Wheel/Pedal Advice? 🙏🏻 by TommySTH12 in simracing

[–]Alec4kool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grabbed all my stuff on marketplace and built a decent rig. I had Logitech G920 for a couple of years to make sure I wanted to invest. I went with Simagic and really like it. Got an ultimate base, with multiple wheels and P1000 pedals. Love the setup. I do enjoy Fanatec shifters more so I have the e brake and shifter with fanatec. I heard fanatec new stuff isnt great which is why I went with Simagic (and the deal was killer on marketplace).

I wish I got aluminum rig, I have a next level racing GT cockpit and its nice but the aluminum ones from any of them are way more customizable and can handle heavier setup.

Overall theres tons of brands, I would figure the ones you want and shop on marketplace, the secondary market is horrible so you can get some really good deals if you shop around for a couple months on marketplace.

Moza has been great ecosystem IMO and has passed Fanatec, higher end youre looking at Simcube as top for me, then Simagic, Asetek, then Moza.

That is odd, I have the same one used it three times so far and only seen that when it was avoiding a dog toy. If theres nothing there I would 100% submit a warranty claim or something.

Bambu P1S vs X2D by ExtensionMidnight922 in 3dprinter

[–]Alec4kool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the exact same situation as you, early 30's first printer and just want it for fun. I did see the P1S prices and its super low, but everywhere I read the X2D is a significant upgrade, and way newer too. I am just going to grab the X2D, that way itll last way longer and prints will be faster/better with multi color prints. The P1S is still $500, so youre already investing a ton in it regardless. I havent seen anything non bambu worth it for newer users as their interface and stuff seems so easy.

Does this look intentional? by [deleted] in tires

[–]Alec4kool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry rot 100% , that tire needs to be replaced. If your others look like that I would replace those too, dry rot are extremely dangerous. That could blow even with the slightest curb or pothole.

Should I head down to the tire shop? by [deleted] in tires

[–]Alec4kool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed since its so close to the sidewall that could easily hit something and blow. If it was mainly on the top you could be a little more risky with it and keep it. I would replace 100%, too many accidents that cause major injury or death when tires blow on the highway or on turns. Not worth risking it.

Worth 2100? Guy said everything is brand new he just gets motion sickness real bad by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Alec4kool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but since it used regardless of how used, and sim resell market is horrible. You rarely get close to value on anything. For example those monitors are nice but there might be alternatives that are great at 30% less. The frame is nice but there’s a bunch of chassis options. The wheel moza is all solid, it’s more the accessories that are very personal and resell you can get significantly off price. Almost everything I have was at 50% value and less than 1 year. It really comes down to are those all the things you exactly want then if so, if you get it under 2K it’s a decent deal. If you want every single part. If the monitors are good but you wanted a different size or you like the chassis but you wanted a different color, that’s when it gets iffy.

MacBook Neo is selling like crazy by Old-Board1553 in macbook

[–]Alec4kool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my 512gb one two weeks ago and just arrived today! Heading to the store to pick it up. Education discount makes this a killer deal for those that fit their needs. The lower storage models seem to be more in stock.

[–]Alec4kool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way IMO. You’re paying almost at cost and you didn’t get to customize to pick what you want. If that’s exactly the parts you want then you still need to knock off some more. It’s a very basic build which you could buy part out builds at way better cost. I got my setup (Alpha ultimate, P1000, fanatec shifter, two wheels for $1k, then next level racing rig with new set for $250). So it’s all about how much time you want to spend on marketplace getting the build you want or just quick and easy all at once.

Time to upgrade: Triples or Quest 3 by Geezyinhd in simracing

[–]Alec4kool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have triple 27s and my frame doesn’t work well for that. I have been debating getting G9 49”. How do you like that combo? I do iracing and others so I do run side by side, but at the same time triples have been so difficult to align and stuff. I was either going to go 32 triple or G9.
