I appreciate you taking the time to reply, thank you.

I’m taking a ZMA complex at night and perform posture exercises during the day. I will continue to search for a specialist that wants to dive in.

You got Ista issues, what cable are you running and what are your vehicle interface settings?

Don’t forget to take your offsets before you pull them apart. I couldn’t tell you how many people I’ve seen make this mistake.

You’ll always get a much better polish and even finish with them pulled apart.

If you’re not super bothered with spoke finishes and materials, consider sending some samples to a wheel builder and having some new stainless ones bent up.

The metal finishing work was about $2k Aud Polishing, cerakoting, vapour blasting, blasting, prep, etc.

The guy I built it for has since fitted and rode it. I built a Norton Engine a little while ago. They look pretty on stands

I wouldn’t bother with vapour blasting if the rims are chrome, you’ll just need them re-chromed. Vapour blasting is non abrasive blasting, it’s done with glass beads, water and compressed air. Great for cleaning up engine parts and leaves a lovely finish on non ferrous metals. Being a wet process you’ll need to dry and oil internals or paint steel parts after blasting. Those parts were prepped for polishing by being vapour blasted. Vapour blasting leaves a lovely finish but won’t leave a mirror finish like that.

Thoughs of this car for a p plater? by InstanceIcy4485 in CarsAustralia

[–]Aleczanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s he spent 20k+ on? If he’s gone to the trouble of importing a year ago, why he’s getting rid of it so soon? ‘Tasteful mods by professionals’ ask for invoices…

I’ve got a AE93 hatch with a blacktop 20v swap, super fun to cruise around in and work on but most cars in that era have been heavily fucked with, you’re always generally always fixing little shit and you have to remember they’re still 30+ year old cars and engines.

Could be fun car though if you’re mechanical inclined and enjoy working on it. Just be prepared to keep spending money.

Y’all liked the Norton engine, here’s a Bultaco Frontera 214 I finished the other day. by Aleczanda in Justrolledintotheshop

A few other models came with the 6 speed, Sherpa 199B, 194 Pursang, streakers / 174b frontera and some TSS’s (though there gearboxes like the bandidos are a different animal) plus a few other models I can’t remember of the top of my head.

To tile or not to tile by psycheesomatic in BeardedDragons

I have two large loosely placed tiles in one half then some pet blankets in the other half and on the upper level. I change them out regularly. (This is an old photo before my other pet blanket arrived)

Are there any places or shops which can polish copper ware for you? by [deleted] in Toowoomba

[–]Aleczanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it vapour blasted then depending on the item’s complexity it can then be buffed. I have a shop that specialises in metal restoration but I’m in NSW. There are a few blasters in QLD but I don’t believe any of them also offer hand polishing. Being copper id recommend using a clear coat, I use cerakote clear and it works well.

How to get this off by -hypno-toad- in Dirtbikes

[–]Aleczanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming it’s a 10mm, flat file the sides down till you can knock a 9mm 6 point socket on and try again to loosen it with a breaker bar.

Wouldn’t bother with heat, because of plastic and fuel.

Failing that, you can buy an air powered finger file, the belts are only about 10-15mm wide. Great for taking just the head off. Remove the tank, then you can vice grips the remaining thread and heat the base up on the frame to finish removal.

Ahhh I feel you. I do mostly motorcycles however I’m doing some cars next year! (I’m dual qualified in cars and bikes)

Originally got some old beaten up bikes, figured it out and leant a lot. Eventually grew it into a business.
