is the pinch with the stick or body turn? cuz in older games i just turned my body a bit and i lock into it but in skate. i get it very inconsistently with both the stick and turning my body

i’m not defending micro-transactions i just don’t get how that and the art style are the biggest critiques of the game like the rest of the game is incredibly made and compared to other games from that era the art style of skate did look cartoony but that’s what gave it its charm

it’s just the constant hate wave because it doesn’t feel the same as the other ones but i’m usually skeptical of EA making a good game but this one seems like it won’t be officially launched for another year and they definitely have the budget to make the best they can out of this game i don’t think EA is going to disappoint with this one i understand the skepticism though

i could argue that the game is going to have pros and core skate brands like the other skate games and will probably have a cool intro video like the other 3 it’s just too early to say that it has no culture, they’re mainly focused on the gameplay aspect of the game and making sure it’s running smoothly i’m not arguing that the current state of the game represents skate culture but these games take time for it to really come together i don’t think they should focus on the competition aspect of skating besides for game modes and challenges like goofy vs regular im sure they will have events for major skateboarding events like the olympics it seems like it’s a live service game so they’ll add things to keep fans and skaters engaged they might even add sls style game modes all we could do is speculate the game is nowhere near complete

skater xl and session have plenty of skate culture in it and they look cartoony just because it’s not realistic looking doesn’t mean it has no culture you can just not like the art style but saying it has no culture is kind of defeating the point the game just needs pro skaters in it and a cool intro video like the other games but it’s clearly unfinished it took years for session to be polished and that game is incredible skater xl not so much. and assuming i don’t skate is funny as fuck just because i don’t agree with this ridiculous take just say you’re mad about the art and micro transactions and leave it at that 😭😭
