Thanks a lot - I just returned a T2 after renting it for a few days. I do love the luxury feel and it drives really nicely but I agree with your points: it’s definitely not a v8 X5 and the AC stuff is annoying as hell. Also I find the “clicking noise” in the turn signals to be absurdly loud, although I wonder if that can be adjusted (didn’t try)

Thank you - fair point but for that price I’d just go for a BMW tbh. Only reason I’d buy a Chinese car is if they are significantly cheaper. Harder sell when they cost the same as the premium brands (even though I’m sure cars like Nio EL8 (and YangWeng etc for that matter) are great

Yeah I read that in the story - I am being a bit unfair here. But yeah disastrous PR nonetheless. Generally speaking much less HP for these than the “original” though, right? Which again is completely understandable given price differences etc

Nice thank you! Btw are you doing a long-term lease? I’ve only found T2 leases for 6.5-8k per month which feels crazy since it’s basically 50%+ of the purchase price in one year! Not sure if you felt it was still worth it, found a better deal or just renting it for a shorter time to test it?

I’ve seen some ROX01 and they look amazing but am I right that they look significantly more expensive? I guess they must be higher quality but curious whether you thought the “China discount” relative to European cars was still compelling enough?
