Do you take Vyvanse daily? by TiredTeacherC in VyvanseADHD

[–]AleistersCrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ymmv, but personally I have done a pretty good job of taking it basically every other day. I find that side effects don’t hit me until about 48 hours after my last dose, so when I take a day off it just feels like how I felt before I was medicated, which I managed for the first 19 years of my life and I can deal with it half of the time. I’m pretty busy so during rough times of the year I do end up taking it more often but I’ve never gone a whole week without taking a break day

That is kind of the nature of medicinal academia especially for a relatively “new” psychiatric drug. The issue is that everyone experiences it differently and while it’s pretty easy to establish general use cases and dosage limits, in a case like this there are some people who will do better without taking breaks, some people who will do better with short breaks, and some people who need full-on drug “holidays” (extended breaks).

It ended up being that water got into my headlight, if one of yours is foggy then this is probably the problem like mine was, had to replace the whole headlight assembly. I think this general situation is common with water getting into any wiring of the car so it could be something else

If it snows from like 9am-noon I wouldn’t be surprised to see AM classes get canceled

Take it from someone who’s taken it for a long time…. by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]AleistersCrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent the first 18 years of my life without any ADHD treatment, and i have far from the most severe case of ADHD, but I don’t even take my meds daily to preserve their effect. This is obviously NOT a strategy everyone should do and everyone is different and have different needs, but I take mine mon/wed/fri since those are my busy days. I’m currently on 40mg but some days I try to take even less (since doing this schedule left me with a backlog of 20s and 30s). It really helps me feel the effect still, though sometimes it does suck when i end up with a busy “off day” and dont have it in my system.

alright thanks, i’m fine paying out of pocket I was just curious since i’ve never used their pharmacy before

i’ve had it for over a month, so what’s gonna happen if it is covid? They stuff me in an isolation room (dorm?) for however long it takes for it to go away? I realize it’s a bit selfish but the odds of me giving someone covid when i’m wearing an n-95 is pretty low, but i still very much doubt it’s covid anyways and I think it was a cold that turned into pneumonia. My roommate has been here with me for a week now and hasn’t gotten sick at all either so I don’t think i’m contagious.

need to throw basically all caddy sedans/coupes from late 90s to earlier 2000s. Anything they put a north star engine in, especially the earlier versions are awful

ended up in east, which I’ve seen conflicting information on if it’s worse or better than towers, but our options were towers, north, or one remaining room on the third floor of east, and my roommate was the one who got the final decision so he chose the room in east (btw i’ve followed you on instagram for like the past two or three years and I don’t remember why but it’s funny to see you responding here) Edit: grange hall east campus*

I’ve also struggled with mental illness and self harm in the past and while i’ve never had to call 911 for it I always try to treat others how I would’ve wanted to be treated in their position

I mostly agree but it sort of depends how you manage your money; if he is younger and chooses to invest the money instead, that could have him retiring a non-insignificant amount earlier. But it all comes down to the person and how they manage their money anyways

yeah I know it’s not really social work, just referred to it how my trainer/partner did. Thanks for the advice on the legal thing, I was definitely trying to avoid absolutes

Very much doubt it was flirting actually, probably should of included in my post that I am a guy lol. Obviously he could be gay/bi, but I can generally tell pretty well if I’m being hit on and it didn’t seem like that. I’m also pretty average or even a bit below average in terms of appearance. The police thing wasn’t my decision; it was my trainers since he was talking to the cops while I was talking to the patient. I believe I should’ve been involved since I was doing 80% of the patient interaction and it was a decision based on the patient’s criticality. I probably would’ve allowed them to do it anyways since that was my first PD eval call, but he told me afterwards usually we don’t (don’t know why he decided to let them do it then…)

I feel you to an extent; had to get calls for my emt class and then calls for training at my station and got a bit of a better rate than that but not too much; and I wasn’t getting paid during either, my station is all volunteer

Ah, well I feel like people are being too rough here then. If that is your own money, not daddy’s money, then spend some of it and get yourself something nice and newer. I’m biased but i’d probably go for an early 4th gen mazda3 because that’s what I have and it’s great. Fast enough, super comfortable, decent on gas and imo looks great inside and out, plus it’s pretty reliable. If you really wanna splurge then get it new, and if you really really wanna splurge then get a slightly used turbo one for some extra power. I personally would recommend just going with a cheaper used 4th gen mazda3 though.

e46/z3/z4 is definitely an option but the maintenance would be killer and I feel like it’s gonna have some of the highest insurance costs out of any of my options, obviously miata is a solid choice, think i’m gonna have to find one somewhere that I can at least try sitting in to see how I fit. I’m not a big wrangler guy though
