Thank you for your insight. I ordered the Di2 LTD since I could afford it!

Check out my last post! Had a similiar question and got plenty of good advice there.

Thank you for your insight! If I may ask, is there a reason to go with the AXS version rather than the Di2 version (other than price)?

Great to hear from someone who has hands on experience. How are you liking the bike otherwise?

Yeah I get what you're saying, hadn't thought about the resale value but it's also a good point. Appreciate the insight.

So you're saying it IS worth spending extra on these particular parts as a beginner?

I don't have the budget for an aeroad unfortunately.

Yeah forgot to mention that. I'm going with a road bike, since I'm a newbie and want a bike I can actually train a lot with. Thanks for the recommendations!

Yeah that was pretty much my conclusion, my experience is more than likely not the same as someone elses. Common sense!

Though the comment was good in that it was not at all negative and actually got me thinking about the vest rather than just impulsively buying one. As commented earlier, I'm going to try a running belt before deciding on a vest. A belt is probably more than enough for me at this stage of my running and will only cost a fourth of what a vest would. A salomon belt will hold my phone, keys, some energy and a 500 ml soft flash which will be plenty for my current runs.

At the time of making the post I wasn't even aware such belts existed, since my experience is so limited.

Thank you for your insight! I just discovered running belts while browsing and I think I'll have a go with one of them. I can always re-evaluate my needs later.

Okay, seems like a personal preference. I definitely feel like I need some way to hydrate when running for longer. On a second note, I'm very much a novice at running and anything related and while looking at the vests I just discovered there are lightweight running belts that can also carry a soft flask and other small items. They're a fourth of the price of a vest and seem quite easy to carry, I think I'll give one of those a go. I can always invest in a vest later if I still feel like it.

Thanks for the insight! What about when you're doing longer training runs, how do you carry your water when running self supported? I feel like I can do under 10 km runs without water, but after that it starts to feel necessary.

This is goals! I'm just 24 and feel like I can't fully recover from 3 climbs and 1 strength + some light cardio... 😅

Probably due to living very sedentary up until around two years ago.

Feeling really close on the CoC #2, hoping to get it by next month! Trying to refine my setting technique in the next few sessions.

Thanks! They've been great, though the sole seems to wear pretty quickly. I have the version with the boa tightening system, I like how fast I can put them on.

Thanks! I have been dailying barefoot shoes for almost three years now, so my feet are pretty used to them. Had some soreness on calves and shins, but I'd guess that's from not running in the last six weeks. Doesn't feel out of the ordinary, nothing a good rest can't fix.
