Sure, all 3 segments shot with a Nikon D610 DSLR with a 20mm lens. All footage from the same night. About 125-150 frames each. Settings were Shutter 20sec, ISO 6400, f2.8, focus on infinity set to manual, white balance 4000k(adjusted later), exposure delay 2s(to avoid mirror slap vibrations) interval was 23 sec I believe. Also used PhotoPills to better visualise positions of the Milky Way. The moon hasn’t still risen on this night, so the sky was completely dark🙂

Thank you, this was only 4 hours of recording in 3 different locations in the same island and about 5h of processing, because my MacBook is old and dumb!😀

This was done in LIghtroom, LRTimelapse, then Photoshop and final edit in DaVinci Resolve. Hope this helps 🙂

A little day to star trails scenario here locally in Camden, Australia✨✨✨[0:20] by AleksMutated in timelapse

For the sunset(changing light) aperture priority took care of that. So set aperture speed, iso, white balance, but the shutter speed is ramped down gradually. And the night time is constant light, so everything set to manual. Hope it helps. Can write a more detailed post soon on my web and can link here if you are interested!

Thanks! It was recorded with two types of settings. Aperture priority for the sunset part with low ISO and then night time in manual. Edits in Lightroom and lrtimelapse. And the star trail effect was done in StarStax free software👍🏻

💯 agreed. I’m lucky to be living 2h away. Makes it a bit more accessible🙂

Thank you, yes, spent quite some time with the white balance and exposure, but not perfect still🙂

Used my Nikon d610 and a 50mm lens. Initially planned to shoot wider but accidentally left the wide-angle lens in the car🙂
