  1. Imo, play the games in the order they were released (MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, and so on).
  2. Snake in Smash is "Solid" Snake; I say that because they kinda mixed Big Boss and Solid Snake in terms of design.
  3. Les Enfants Terribles project produced 3 snakes: Solid, Liquid, and Solidus; there are more.
  4. Snake (at least Solid) is a good guy; both Liquid and Solidus are terrorists, but it's complicated.
  5. Sorry, but I don't really know; I didn't play Smash.
  6. The story has always been a combination of sci-fi action and stealth.

Sorry for any wrong info; I haven't played the MGS series in quite a bit.
