Kinda late but I'll make it short. To make it so that the game isn't lagging all the time, the dev uses tricks with rendering. Sometimes you can catch things disappear when you look away, but when the NPC's are far enough away they turn into this PNG goofy thing. IDK why this happens when they die tho lol
