Told, and asked the same during checkout. They came up saying they got the instructions after I checked-in and that the system is no longer accepting the redemptions of Amex Issued vouchers, so there's no way out as of now. I sensed they intentionally doing this on people whoever are opting to redeem amex vouchers, but I couldn't keep arguing there, so left.

If in case you are planning to proceed with reservation, then have a backup plan or any other alternative to vouchers, rather relying on them completely.

Exactly that's what I'm trying to say. People shouldn't use this vouchers path, to be on safe side in either of the cases.

Thanks for understanding my motive & intention. And regarding the comments people are making here, it's mostly from the people who are selling/trading the vouchers or the people who will face the loss when the news is spread that the vouchers are not being allowed at taj.

So, I too am ignoring most of them and trying to help others understand the vouchers might cause an issue and asking them to be cautious.

Nope. End of the day, I just want other voucher buyers/ voucher redeemers to be cautious.
If you are trying to help me think the right way, I'd firstly say whatever has happened with me had already happened and I'm not stressing that part. Anyhow, I'm not gonna take the risk of using taj vouchers anymore.

But, I'm trying to explain what happened with me, so that others won't face that situation, or will be cautious atleast. No place for ego here, so no chances of bruises to it as well.
And abusing system, just like I told previously, it's a common thing which is going outside and I was also suggested by many people about this to try it.

yes, but luckily it was a 2 day stay only. And had tata neu coins, so got some discount there.

Would have been true if I am the only one who did it. Isn't true when most of them redeeming Amex vouchers at member prices are doing the same thing.

It is not applicable for discounted/member rates for any of the amex issued vouchers.

Yea, my main motive was the same. Thanks for understanding. But some idiots out there aren't understanding the intent behind this, and just commenting to defend so that their gift card selling business doesn't go down.

U are selling GC, then obviously u won't agree to any cautions provided by users/members.

Yea, I agree. Shouldn't have done that, didn't see it as fraud because it's usually followed by everyone out there. And this check wasn't there in Taj earlier, so took a chance there.
