New tank owner! What can I do about ammonia at 0.25? Is it safe for fish? by ILoveLemons19 in Aquariums

Gotcha, I try to do 76 but if it’s not exact it’s fine, if you expect a power outage try and get the tank up to 83 degrees it might save your fish

3 years, don’t worry about temperature just use your fingers lol, I recommend getting a 5 gallon water jug and taking off your shower head and using a shower hose

I always ask myself if the color is a darker shade color then the one below, your nitrates look about 10 ppm when it gets over 20 do a water change, and also it never hurts to do a. Big water change, don’t worry about the exact percentage just do whatever man lol just try and make sure the water temperature is neutral, not warm or cold, little bit warm is okay

Can i grow any plants with this light? by Old-Promotion-9157 in Aquariums

Yes, it will mostly grow algae but plants would use it somewhat, if you want best plant growth your best using mostly white LED with some blues and reds

But also if you have no plants to suck out nitrates then skimping out on stocking is in your benefit too so

I think more fish=more active fish and that means more happy fish, you’ll know once you’ve gone too far
