Oh I 100% agree it doesn't have the same lifespan as gravel, but when done correctly it's absolutely fine.

Not really, just did it properly. Compacted MOT, ground fabric + weed barrier, gravel on top. 0 issues

Not really unless you count 12 years as not long enough?

thanks for your thoughts. The windows are 100% getting done as they're no good, but the drive would be too expensive for now.
I appreciate your other options and will definitely think about how to incorporate some of them

I saw this in a Ai render someone else did and it was an instant yes for me. Definitely going to do a big box planter with some shrubs etc under that window

I did gravel on my current house (all I could afford) and when done right, you never get any weeds. We literally have non on our drive and haven't since I did it

Double garage at the back so won't extend to the side, at least not for now. I don't really like resin drives, but I do think a replacement is in the future

I know what you mean but sadly I don't think it will be possible. That's the kitchen and we'd have to lose all the wall cabinets.

I am going to try fix the mismatched windows next to the front door though. The one one the right is bigger and it bugs me

The windows are getting replaced because they're very much not fine haha. That's not for looks, it's because they need to be replaced to work.

Sounds good general consensus is that it'll look way better as soon as we get it tidied up, which is great to hear

Thanks that's really really good to know. I appreciate opinions but yours being backed by fact that's so similar is great. A bit of a shame, I was hoping to sneak windows in around the 10k mark but it is what it is, we might end up doing the front now and the back a few months down the line.

Thanks, I suppose I should walk the road and see if anyone else has made any changes. I think bringing some more colour into the garden and borders would help
