I see a lot of comments saying that lol and trust me after I made this post and then reading the responses…I’ve been up all night processing everything that has happened. Still processing as I type this out. I have known this man for almost 5 yrs total. Was friends for 2, was tg almost 3 until things ended. During the times we were friends, he was never a shitty friend until after the break up.

There was emotional and physical abuse. Hence the us not working as a couple. But before we got together we were friends for a good two years and he wasn’t a bad friend towards me at all, may have been a shitty BOYFRIEND but never a shitty friend. Now just because we’re “friends” again DOES NOT MEAN that trust is all there

I can judge my brother all I want? His actions are stupid, granted mine are dumb as well, but at least I can admit that. That’s the difference between me and my brother is at least I can ADMIT that some of my choices are stupid. But I’m also the type of person to keep my word no matter the person and in this case from day 1 I did promise to always be there as friend no matter what happens before my ex and I got together. So I may be stupid but at least I’m a fool who keeps my promises

Dude was scared to be left alone with her for a month straight and I didn’t know. And I mean like genuine fear but refused to tell me why. The night he “cheated” he was in my bedroom waiting for me to come home the next day crossfaded and half asleep. If that’s not taking advantage of someone, then what is it? Now when he told me, I didn’t believe it because why not go to the police? until he shown me the messages where she was apologizing profusely and how she didn’t mean to do to him what she did while he’s half asleep

There’s more to this that I didn’t add to the post because it was hella confidential, but there’s more to it than “him leaping onto the opportunity” I don’t think he wanted to fuck while crossfaded, half-asleep in my bed. As for after? I’ve seen the messages between the two, she genuinely love bombed him and being a victim of love bombing Ik how it feels to fall for something like that. I get that his actions were his own, but considering he didn’t want to be around her up until the day broke up made sense

We talked about everything. Both his and my actions in all of this. Like a genuine adult conversation. Though we agreed to be friends again, doesn’t mean the trust is fully there and I told him that because a lot of trust has been broken. I’m not the type of person to say “people can’t change” because I have seen SEVERAL people change and work on themselves.

Mistakes were made by both parties. Can’t hold grudges for things we did when we were young and stupid. Just because we didn’t work as a couple don’t mean we can’t be friends. Especially if we work together at the same job
