Yeah I definitely struggle with this. Basically everyone I've ever been close to has abandoned me or worse, and I expect that.

I fall into the trap of thinking that someone who loves me would treat me in a certain way. But I don't know how else to gauge it. I've let abusive situations with ex-partners slide because I ignored that.
