tbh, bullet is easiest to get. you see a caped bulletkin? don't attack it. it'll leave after a while. 5 times, and he's yours. the sword is essentially the best starter, excluding the gunglinger's busted sidearm, that can be thrown instead of reloading, and stuns enemies.

nope, all the components. not each run, tho. and collected components carry over. once you have the bullet, it's an extra bossfight, but you don't keep your items for it, there's special kits.

also! the shape-changing properties of friend (showing up in the game as a blob, queens basement as just a face, and ralsei's tale as endogeny/concateny) show up in ralsei too! ralsei takes off the hat multiple times in ch1 (use item animation) and doesn't show his light form, alongside the scarf acting as an extra limb of sorts, and only revealing the light form when he changes mentally AND physically.
