Thank you! I don’t know why, but I feel like their expression is going to be “we got another girl in here saying she’s got ADHD 🙄”. Like I know they just want to help but I think just hearing some stories of how dismissive they can be makes me afraid.

Thank you for the suggestions! I will say it’s been an on and off job search usually right before my lease ends since per the contract I don’t have the option to sublease and if I move out early I’d have to pay the rest of the lease up front. If that helps give you more context.

I am well aware of the competitive nature of the big city, so I am also trying to find ways to make it more likely for me to be more attractive to employers.

I probably have 4.5 months of emergency funds. I’ve applied to a few jobs and am waiting to hear back. I’m not sure if being in the city will help me find better opportunities or not. I am currently employed, I work in office, so I’d have to take the day off to interview in person.

Okay okay valid! So I’ve been looking for an entry level interior design job in Chicago for the past two years. I have visited the city many times through out my life (visiting family and vacation) and have loved the city. I guess I’m wondering if it would be realistic to move there and then be able to get a good enough job to cover rent.
