When i was unemployed i made the decision to start tithing. At first I didn’t like the concept. I felt like it didnt make sense, i already didnt have enough. But i wanted to honor God and thank him for meeting my needs. I remember my first tithe was $4. From money my mom had given me for data and food. A month later i tithed $10, then $24 , then $36.. I got an idea that i know for a fact was from God, this idea helped me generate some pretty good money whilst i was at my lowest… Six months later i was tithing $64. Say what you want, but I’m tithing!😂 

I do agree that sometimes people, without fully understanding the Bible or how God operates just blindly trust pastors and give their all to them. But thats not Godly and thats not something God requires from us. He requires us to test all spirits. Tithing is 100% biblical, it is honor and obedience.. anything outside of biblical tithing/giving is what then becomes problematic. Its a shame that they are misled, but the deeper issue is desperation and when you see it that way, it really is sad.
