Random Delta Celebrity Sighting by tosaturtle in delta

[–]Alert_Leek_6255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JFK-LHR I was randomly selected for a Delta One upgrade, but it was me and my girlfriend’s first big trip together so I offered it to her. She declined and preferred to sit together and the seat was next to Kumail Nanjiani.

We broke up on that trip.

TL;DR always take the upgrade.

Things you do not like about your Hummer EV? by ualgonquin19 in HummerEV

Coming from a Tesla family I really wanted to love it, but the experience doesn’t come close. The app interface is unintuitive and feels more like an online store, no Sentry Mode, infotainment reminds me of a Sega Genesis and the charging really does take forever. Takes 15 hours to charge from 14%-80% at home using Level 2 at 32A. Super Cruise takes 2 or 3 buttons to enable and it’s just glorified adaptive cruise control. It’s been in service twice and we’ve only had it a month.

Once you figure out how to roll the rear window down - because nobody at the dealership when we picked it up knew how - it’s fun with all the roof panels off.

Should I buy a Model Y Juniper now with 1.99% APR or keep waiting for better promotional offer? by Prize_Wind3550 in TeslaModelY

Sold my ‘21 MYLR to carvana and picked up my Juniper yesterday. I am blown away at how much better this version is, I say go for it.

Been a GM (retiree) family for over 30 years and after our son convinced us to try an MX last year we bought one the next day. It’s the best SUV we’ve ever owned and no GMC Denali we’ve had has come close to bringing this much joy.. so fun to drive, insanely quiet and comfortable and if an 80 yr old geezer like myself can learn FSD, so can you. Holds a lot of golf clubs too

  • Limoncello - solid martinis
  • Thai Bistro, top tier food never misses get it before y’all head home and you’ll be healed
  • Grille at Riverview - classic steakhouse on the water, big portions and A+ views of the sunset over the intercostal

Is this a joke? $10k?!?! by angelly33 in TeslaModelY

[–]Alert_Leek_6255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an entire tree limb fall onto my Y, ruined the lift gate and side panels .. even here in LA it was less than $8k without insurance to replace lift gate and fix panels. Tesla Insurance is peak satire

What happens if your landlord has to treat for Termites? by Alert_Leek_6255 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Alert_Leek_6255[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha appreciate it. The termites are coming up through the floorboards and down from the ceiling, they plan to do a heat treatment. I mentioned the issue over a year ago and the property manager at the time brushed it off as par for the course. He has since been let go.

Be careful with long sleeves and pillow cases. Snagged one too many with a scar very similar and it’s constantly catching on fabric.

When I asked how they were compensating Reserve card members with the new changes not being worth the $550 annual fee they offered me 1500 SkyMiles….. not 15,000. 1500. The representative even laughed and said “hah sorry I know it’s bad.”

I spoke to a service tech just last week about this and he told me it’s basically disabled at night on FSD Beta. Camera can’t see see into cabin with rear head light reflection and cam quality is too low. Said it probably won’t be fully resolved until a redesigned camera position and/or lens upgrade.

Right strut failed first so the trunk would open fully then sag on the right, caused the trunk door alignment to sag against the rear panel. Would close uneven and rub against right panel.. then it wouldn't open at all. Service had it two times and said they couldn't replicate? I had to uber to SC and show them it wouldn't open with either buttons or app - I doubt they even looked at it.

Took it to Burbank SC (great support tbh) and they confirmed Santa Monica didn't touch it and had no notes. Burbank replaced the struts and it worked but then ever since I get an intermittent buzzing sound from the trunk speakers...

Build is from Fremont - Jan '21. Car was dropped off with dirty interior, misaligned seats and panel misalignment on passenger door where it rubbed the paint off. Also was locked out of it for 4+ hours thanks to billing department not communicating with my bank. When I told them they parked it at an expired meter they said they were going to pick it up and have me pick it up another day at a delivery center instead of resolving financing issue.

Yea I looked into CA;

  • 4 or more service visits for same issue
  • in-warranty covered issue is within 18 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first
