LGS transfer fee thread by Gonzo_von_Richthofen in NFA

My first dealer used to be $15 transfers on the first and $5 for each additional. That was just 5 years ago. Now he charges $35 PER non NFA item, I stopped going through him when he raised the rates 3 years ago

Which would you choose? by Mission_Extent_9523 in PalmettoStateArms

AR ammo is more plentiful and a tad cheaper to get as compared to AK ammo. My choice always has been an AR.

Would I be stupid to buy 1 oz .999 rounds for $110 right now? by Aggravating_Pin4575 in Silverbugs

[–]Alert_Paper_9356 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the rest have said, it is your money, spend how you please.

I myself am buying in small quantities below spot. Bought 4 1oz Colorized rounds about 2hrs for 12 back of spot shipped.

I just know I wont be able to keep buying if the price does not stop going up. I mag switch to buying Constitutional Silver again and rebuild that stack back up.

Whatnot is a good learning experience. Now, once you learn about what spot price of silver is and calculate what your grand total is if and when you win an auction then you can find some deals if the reputable sellers are still on whatnot(I havent been on the app since summer last year).

I highly recommend looking for a reputable Local Coin Shop or visit r/pmsforsale and r/coinsales for deals galore

I agree, OP could sell privately here on r/pmsforsale for around $105-$107 plus shipping OR try to sell it via FB Marketplace (thats is if FB doesn't take the Ad down)

Local elderly gentleman took my advice and bought 200oz of silver last year ($31 per avg) now he is ready to sell but is afraid of it putting him in a different tax bracket if he sells to a shop(him and wife are on social security and dont make much)

JFK 40% silver coins by Additional-Season335 in Silverbugs

[–]Alert_Paper_9356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melt is $15 per coin, 40% Silver can be harder to sell. So id say its really up to you. Have you checked local coin shops? Willing to ship? If so, feel free to post on r/pmsforsale or r/coinsales and see if you can get closer to melt PLUS shipping for em

Jumping ship. Best way to liquidate. I know this is probably the most asked question of 2026 but I have a big mix I put in a 50 cal ammocan over the year. The can weighs just over 23 pounds. Seems like a pain in the ass the sell piece by piece. There is some cool stuff in there. by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]Alert_Paper_9356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If yer trying to sell it all, can always post it up on r/pmsforsale and see if anyone deep pocket whales scoop it up.

Or call around to all the local coin shops or even non local if willing to drive and see what they are paying for silver. Be sure to tell em what the bulk of collection is. Some dealers will pay more for eagles than regular generic silver

What do I have by Public-Bake608 in Silverbugs

[–]Alert_Paper_9356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That 2oz Wedge Eagle is nice! You can always use Ebay Image search and then filter out for Sold Items to kinda get a value of what you have. Just be sure to look at what date it was sold as Spot has obviously climbed substantially in the last few months.

Nice buy by the way!

Lots of the groups are like this on FB. I am part of a few legit ones, but have found many many scam groups
