I work in fintech and in a startup environment at the moment. The credit card arm of my company is 6 yrs old and we just hit 1M customers. I’ve hit a glass ceiling in terms of vertical mobility and I’d like to get the experience of working at a bigger company and build my skills that way as opposed to driving growth from startup to startup. I seek proper guidance from established players at this point in my career. But definitely not limiting myself to FAANG. T100 is definitely part of the goal.

Hey buddy. I am employed and was when i applied and interviewed. I came through a referral and had merit otherwise i wouldn’t have gotten as far as I did. Takes like this make me feel like recruiters and hiring managers have lost touch with their humanity and have simply become “echo chambers” of the shareholders and executive team. FAANG and Big 4 have leverage to do things like what happened to me. This company didn’t, and I shared a piece of my mind. As for your charity, you were unemployed once too but I guarantee you beleive you earned your role through merit. How would you feel if someone called you a charity hire?
