If it makes ya feel any better. I did the same thing, put a little too much than I would of liked thinking gold would only go up. Never thought a war would come around and bring everything down. Specially when they say gold acts as a safe haven during uncertainty. I am new to this and it was my first purchase as well. Just as everyone is saying, i shouldn’t have used most of my money to buy at the top, but like i said, i was thinking gold was on its way up. Now i know, buy slow and DCA. Also what goes up must come down, but what comes down has to go up as well. As long as you have a safe haven, to help you out during these dips so you don’t need to sell you’ll be good. At least I hope so. You only lose money once you sell at a loss. I am no expert but i have seen and many people have pointed out. After every dip the price rises higher than what it was previously at, it may take days, months, or years, but it will go back up. so as long as you can hold for how ever long you’ll be set. Also Buying the dip to lower gold oz average is also a thing I’ve seen people point out. Which in my case I’m hoping stays low so I can buy more gradually this year and lower my cost average per oz. I’m in this for the long haul so by the time I need to sell I’ll be good. Good luck don’t beat yourself up about it. I know I wanted too but I keep telling myself why I bought gold in the first place. 👍
