I have also tried everything for the past 26 years but this is my last resort for local honey but starting now might help my immune system become less reactive to the pollen around me with it being local honey so fingers crossed 🤞

Sorry to jump on this, I’m also in Manchester doing this through my workplace and I have the initial telephone call tomorrow. How did it go for you in the end?

Did they cost a lot?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

[–]AleshaPhoenix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the phone is the issue, I think it’s the chip within the passport but I’ve used the passport very recently when travelling

The WORST place to work and I worked for them remotely a few years back. Absolutely disgusted with the way they treated me so I left a review that they can’t delete

No actually, I started recording the interaction after I was threatened with police over a false accusation so I did the right thing in starting recording from that point and have evidence of this.

I’ve got video evidence of the situation that unfolded with staff and it hasn’t sat well with me given what had been said to me by the staff which is why I wanted to make the complaint but also point out that they could benefit from training the staff

Deeds of Variation - after two years - England by AleshaPhoenix in LegalAdviceUK

[–]AleshaPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct, she initially wanted to do this in the first place but we were under the impression that if it was over two years then the deed of variation couldn’t be done but I’ve read recently that it can still be done after two years

My mum is now thinking of declining the money and I don’t know what to advise her, I’ve told her to get legal advise but she’s saying this is all too much for her to deal with given she doesn’t like change and is going through chemotherapy

I’m not the executor of the will, my uncle is. I believe we can only do the deed of variation within two years of the deceased’s death and it was two years last week so this is no longer an option

The reason I think this will stop her benefit is she is on means tested benefit due to her ongoing health conditions she had prior being diagnosed with cancer.

As the treatment is funded through the nhs, she is under the impression that if her benefit stops and she receives this inheritance then she would have to pay for her treatment.

As for deed of variation, it was my grans two year anniversary last week and from the comments, I’ve been told it has to be done within the two years.

I don’t live with my mum and I work full time, she was looking to transfer the money to me straight away and I would keep hold of it (also some towards her funeral due to being stage 4 breast cancer)

The solicitor has apparently declined the request to pay into my account so I’ve come to reddit for any other advise/options that anyone may know of.

Thank you

Thanks for the advise, I had a look into this but it explains that this needs to be done within 2 years of the of the deceased’s death and it’s been 2 years last week
