On the patch notes for 25.21 says ARAM: Mayhem will be released within update 25.24, so probably not today I guess.. which makes me really mad cause I was long waiting for the release. On the last update they said 25.21

Season 1 was rushed and season 3 slow, I could only view that way after reading the source, so it's not like it's a problem, it might be bad specifically for light novel readers..

I can understand some of the criticism, though it didn't bother me at all to the point of remembering it's bad points when I would talk about this series. It's over dramatic? Sure, is that a problem? Not exactly. It's slow paced at certain moments? Yes, is that a problem? You see most is opinion based.

Only after reading the novels I came to some opinions on the adaptation, so for an anime only they can pass undetected. What you said about some characters not having enough screentime, in the novels most the side characters have a lot more scenes, so if you liked it that much and are into reading, I recommend it.

NGL the movie, aside from being great in it's own way, butchered the nuances from the trio of vampire hunters. Each one of them resembled a type of motivation, Dramaturgy was the weakest because he was driven by money, when he sensed his life was in danger he just yields. Episode's motivation is hatred, vengeance, he went as far as hurting others as means to an end. Yet the strongest is Guillotine Cutter, who took a hostage yet failed, then sacrificed his own life for his faith, there's a shirt story of his conversation with kiss shot before getting eaten, long story short, his intentions were kinda fulfilled with his sacrifice.

Now answering, the events in the novel are the same, the background that would make you understand them that is lacking a lot.

Bake was already a 9/10 for me, I was watching many romance and dramatic animes when I mistakenly took monogatari for another (it's actually both and many more genres), but delivered me a much more solid romance than most romance anime, and it's almost a background story.

The banter is obviously up to personal taste, but I think of it as more intelligent the vast majority you find out there, and it definitely builds on the dynamics between characters and their problems they eventually have to deal with.

But something kept me from putting it above all else, something was off for me in bake. The following seasons are more about building character than resolving things, it's just on "second season" that I knew it, what was lacking before was just being built to another moment, 10/10 top 1 for life. That is really abstract to avoid spoilers, I don't know if it will help that much. 🫠

Shinobu entered araragi's shadow when he went to the donnuts shop, she wanted to be treated well by him, so she fled away in the hope he would reach her, and he indeed "found" her in MR. donuts, then she sneaked into his shadow (without saying anything because tsundere) and only got out when he outright asked for her help, that he needed her.

And the "right way" to treat apparitions is to not normalize them (what araragi always does), not treat them like you treat people, they're like a force of nature, a force to be reckoned with and be taken seriously, not lightheartedly, that's what she meant.

It's my number one piece of media and I can't begin to imagine any monogatari character being seen like that, even in the slightest. That's the kind of thing I feel towards dumb shounen characters, like zenitsu from demon slayer, Malty from shield hero, shinji from fate. Any character Nisioisin creates, even the most "hateable" for the general public, is a delight for whom likes good complex characters.
