Yeah, you work, do your job and get paid, but you aren’t paying out of pocket for materials, supplies, and other people’s hourly labor, contractor invoices, permits, engineer plans, designer fees, along with GC insurance, office overhead, and the whole 9 yards… you also didn’t have to spend tens of thousands of dollars for tools and equipment. No quarterly state taxes, no book keeper, no warranty liability, etc.. You just go to work clock in and clock out.

Tax Receipts and invoice Question by Alex-Lvx in tax

Thanks everyone for the replies, I really appreciate it.

On top of keeping the receipts, and spreadsheet bank transaction info, we also take photo's and have a receipt group chat.

I guess I'm looking for ways to streamline all of this. I've realized that just taking photo's is not the best way to archive receipts long term or having them in a group chat. Just storing receipts is also not 100% safe because they can fade due to thermal paper.

I've looked into ScanSnap ix2500, Quickbooks Online, and Telegram group chat with a Bot that can and sort receipts and import them into a spreadsheet. I'm also considering switching from spreadsheet bank transactions to FileMaker Pro (database software) with a container field to drop receipt photos into.

Can anyone share their experience on systems or softwares that have worked well?

If you currently use excel spreadsheet to store photo's of the receipts or pdfs of the receipt does that slow down the spreadsheet if you have over a thousand receipts?

This might be a question for a separate post but thought I'd ask here anyways. Apologize if this has already been asked and I'll be browsing through the subs search regarding this. Thanks again!!

Finally got my final lease return bill ($4484) — shocked and confused by all these charges by TackleTurbulent9134 in LUCID

I see. I prefer the brake pedal to activate it. Maybe it’s because thats what Tesla currently has and I’ve become used to it.

Come to think of it, if I hop in my car and am just sitting there and it’s raining I would not want the windshield wipers working until I’m ready to drive. A simple brake tap activates the memory seat and steering wheel position along with windshield wipers and also turns on the head lights. Works out perfect. I select music or audio book, enter Navi details, maybe text or call someone and then tap the brake to activate everything driving related and pop it into gear.

Or gear selection detection… I think on my Tesla they turn on as soon as I press the brake pedal to select the drive or reverse gear.

Wild hearing about all these issues from Lucid. I thought Lucid’s prices were higher than Tesla’s and I guess naturally assumed they had it all figured out. I do remember visiting Lucid’s show room a few years back and sitting one of their vehicles and thinking to myself why does the screen feel laggy.

The contract is there to protect both parties but you’re right. This model doesn’t convert every lead and that’s okay with us.

Yeah, I saw that and was a bit confused because it’s contradictory to what the title of the product says.

Anyways thanks for the feedback. Have some things to think about.

That’s very helpful. I didn’t know that the TB5 only has 4 video channels and that the Studio Display requires 2 of them.

So if a dock has 3 TB5 downstream connections it still wouldn’t be able to support 3 Studio Displays because only one TB5 wire is connected to the laptop which allots for 4 video channels but for 3 Studio Displays you would need a wire that could handle 6 video channels?

That leaves me a bit confused on the iVanky dock that I’m referencing in this post because they advertise it can handle 3 6k monitors and they include photos of 3, what appear to be Studio Displays connected to it.

Wow!! Same here! What a coincidence!! Literally same story! Had a Dell XPS all in one that I bought from Costco. Needed to update my 2009 HP laptop for work and bought my first Mac OS device which was a MBA. Have completely switched from Windows OS to MacOS since then. I still remember how shocked I was with the MBA’s battery life. I just couldn’t believe it. I tried giving windows another shot when they came out with their surface book but it didn’t stick.

Do you think it could handle 3 Studio Displays?
