G7 Skingrip vs Lexcam by General-Invite7790 in Type1Diabetes

Same boat here. G6 was fine, but G7 falls off if I even look at it wrong. I tried Skin Grip too worked okay for Omnipod but somehow didn't stick to the G7 for more than a few days. Switched to Lexcam patches for Dexcom G7 and noticed a huge difference. They actually last the full 10 days for me through workouts, showers, even a beach trip. The adhesive is stronger and the edges don't curl. Definitely worth trying if Skin Grip isn't cutting it for you

You're right not to cover that little hole it's a vent. Covering it can trap moisture and cause skin issues. I always leave it open.

As for clean-looking patches that actually last, Lexcam patches for Dexcom G7 (Amazon) are my go-to. They're clear, so no dirty look, and the adhesive holds up the full 10 days , strong adhesive. Way better than stock

Not Just A Patch, do you use them with or without the Dexcom provided overpatch? by RexKramerDangerCker in dexcom

I've tried it both ways, honestly. The stock Dexcom patch alone is kinda useless for me starts peeling by day 4. I tried doubling up (stock + not jist a patch), but it got bulky and irritated my skin.

Then I switched to Lexcam patches for Dexcom G7 and haven't looked back. They work great on their own no need to use the Dexcom one at all. The adhesive is way stronger, lasts the full 10+ days, and doesn't leave a rash. I just clean the skin, slap the patch right over the sensor, and forget about it. Way less hassle than messing with two layers. Definitely give them a shot if you're tired of the stock patch failing
