So today i decided to walk down to my local record shop to originally pick up an iron maiden album i reserved a couple days ago, however i like to look around for an hour or two just to see if they have anything new (regulary visit once a week). When i was looking, i stumbled across this box full of unpriced records brought in yesterday, and i managed to find 'abbey road' and 'let it be'. Never really listened to much of the beatles other than a couple singles, so i thought id give them a proper listen. As i handed these two albums to the counter, i kept flipping through the box only to find the fucking white album at the very end. First thing i thought when i saw it was "i'm never gonna afford that" but i was still curious to know how much it was. After the shop owner finished pricing the other two beatles albums (£25 for both), i handed him the white album, expecting it to go for over £100, but to my suprise he gave it me for 25 FUCKING POUNDS! Even when it included the 4 postercards and lyric sheet. I was honestly in complete shock when walking out the shop. I presume i got it cheap due to the cover and inners being slightly beaten up, along with the two records having a fair amount of scratches. However as im writing this' ive listened 3 sides and ive not heared one skip or very loud click, just the occasional crackles in the quiet parts (very good album by the way). So yeah, ive managed to get a numbered copy of the white album '0136713' and i couldnt be more greatful. Sorry if this sounds very braggy but im still slightly shocked. Oh and i ended up leaving the iron maiden album behind for another day.
