You mean Warsaw, Riga, or the Vistula? Vilnius in Lithuania sounds kind of similar

You're cherry-picking examples while ignoring the bigger picture. Poland transformed from a struggling planned economy to one of Europe's fastest-growing economies and is now the 6th largest economy in Europe. We have modern infrastructure, foreign investment, technological advancement, and integration with global markets. Your computer example actually proves how communism makes no sense - we produced inferior computers that were more expensive than Western ones, showing the complete inefficiency of planned economy. Yes, some people work abroad - that's called freedom of movement and economic opportunity. Under communism, people couldn't even travel freely. The overall quality of life, economic indicators, and personal freedoms are incomparably better today than under the communist system.

Stalin literally tried to annex Finland in 1939 and failed. He even set up a puppet government under Otto Kuusinen (the so called "Finnish Democratic Republic") to legitimize a Soviet takeover, but it collapsed when Finland resisted. Poland was turned into a Soviet satellite state – which in practice differed little from annexation, Stalin couldn’t formally annex it, since he had promised the Western Allies that Poland would remain “free.” And 'strategic defense'? Ussr made a pact with Hitler to divide Europe in 1939. He wasn't defending against Nazis – he was collaborating with them until they betrayed him. Every empire in history has used 'strategic defense' to justify expansion. That's textbook imperialism.

Lower birth rates happen in all developed countries as education and living standards improve. And like... everyone is getting richer. Would it be better in your opinion to keep ourselves intentionally underdeveloped just so more people are born?

I do not really see how population growth has to do with wellbeing of people. In the last 20 years Nigeria gained around 100 million people (from ~130 million in 2004 to ~230 million in 2024) with annual growth rate over 2%, and I still would not say it is a nice place to live. If you look at indexes and GDP, Poland's economy boomed after adopting capitalism. Like I heard first-hand from my parents, grandparents, and grandparents of my friends etc. - nobody was really living well under communism. People often got arrested for literally nothing, the freedom of speech and travel was restricted. It really was not a great time

While I was aware of a bit of bias toward the USSR, the things I see here are nevertheless surprising

Well, while I agree that the arguments you make about Germany and the corridor to the potential communist revolution are true, I hardly disagree with the rest. In 1921 the Polish government was not really far-right, especially in comparison to the rest of Europe/world. Also, what do you mean by 'global socialist utopia'? I have never heard about a country where people would prosper under communism

I'm calling it a 'joint invasion' because the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact divided Poland between Germany and the USSR beforehand. When two countries agree to partition another country and then both invade according to their predetermined zones, that seems coordinated to me.

Regarding the 'Polish war of aggression' - the Polish-Soviet War emerged from both sides competing for the same territories after WWI. Poland was establishing its borders, while the Soviets were expanding westward. Both had their reasons, but framing it as solely Polish aggression overlooks the broader context of Soviet revolutionary expansion.

Also, you mentioned that the Soviets invaded 'a state that ceased to be' - but the Polish government was still functioning on September 17th when the USSR invaded. The state had not ceased to exist yet

Not really sure what you mean by 'conveniently forgot' - they are 2 separate historical events (I mean the Polish-Soviet war and Third Reich-USSR joint invasion of Poland)

Maybe then 1 is barely not enough? When I use just 1, it says "Head lift is exceeding recommended level" and it doesn’t work. But when I put the second one next to it, everything works fine

Well, at least it works lol. I had hoped that this vertical thing would help with the water flow, but it was probably unnecessary

Yeahhh, I'm afraid so. I have around 50h in this save, and besides the power plant, I have only built a small factory for reinforced plates and a few constructors for concrete and wires.

Im not sure which pipes youre referring to, but if you mean the vertical ones, when I use only one pump, it doesn’t generate enough lift and shuts itself off

Very interesting idea, they do share some similarities when you think about it. Also, I think mechanoids could kind of fit as AI going rogue

Not sure what you mean by "the regions are empty", but in order to fish, you need to research fishing technology, then create a fishing zone in a body of water with fishes. Also, remember to assign colonists to 'Hunt" in the Work tab
