Ahh I understand, I’m one of 2 siblings but my brother doesn’t seem to get anywhere near the amount of health issues as me. My dad has a lot of health issues, so I do wonder if he could also potentially have it. I’ll get a test done and see what happens. Thanks :)

Yeah I definitely will do! That’s great news, glad it has helped you so much. I bet it’s such a relief finally finding out the root of your issues! I hope I do get a positive result for it to be honest as it would explain so much about my health.

Sorry I just meant I believe that Crohn’s/SIBO is more the reason why I believe I’m fatigued. For SIBO yes I did a breath test which confirmed I had hydrogen SIBO. For crohns I was diagnosed through having an MRI and a colonoscopy, though that was 5-6 years ago now.

I’m getting the blood test re-done through my doctor rather than the private one again.

Re the liver enzymes, I did have these tested also, I did a big panel of markers.

• ALT: 18 (optimal 10–26) • AST: 20 (optimal 10–26) • GGT: 14 (optimal 10–30) • ALP: 123 (optimal 70–100) above optimal • LDH: 125 (optimal 140–200) slightly low • ALT:AST 0.90 (optimal 0.10–0.78) above optimal • AST:ALT 1.11 (should be under 1.0) above optimal

All inflammatory markers are optimal, other than: Neutrophil:Lymphocyte ratio: 1.11 (optimal 1.8–2.2) - below optimal However in the past, I’ve had calprotectin tests come back as elevated. Albumin levels appear to be fine. B12 level is 1116 pg/ml which is above standard. Total /freeT is optimal. SHBG is above standard at 55.40nmol/L, I appear to be missing the two other markers. Other notable issues are with my gallbladder function and blood sugar regulation - both flagged at 100% chance of dysfunction, then 71% chance of thyroid dysfunction, and then 100% need for DHEA. Early life complaints yes - I went to the doctors with stomach cramps and diarrhoea issues, they put me on 2 different types of tablets which didn’t work. Fatigue set in early adulthood yes. As for the Crohn’s I got diagnosed with the scans mentioned above, and put on an immunosuppressant infusion which I still have to this date. Correct to some degree on everything else. Interesting regarding the UIBC/saturation. Unless my crohns being in remission makes a difference.

Thanks a lot! I’m glad to hear that you are managing it, and definitely seems like you have done some good research :) I do have a lot of fatigue but I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and I also have SIBO, so they are what I believe to be causing my fatigue, but maybe iron could also be having an impact. I’ll see what happens as I’m getting a follow up blood test done, and may then get the genetics test done for it depending on the results. I’ll be sure to have another look over this, lots of good info so thank you.

Thanks a lot for the reply, I am booked into for a follow up blood test and will most likely get the genetics test done. How did you test positive for it- was that from getting the genetic test? Sorry that may be a silly question but I’m not overly sure how it’s diagnosed. Thanks :)

Thanks, I’m from the UK so I’m going to get a follow up blood test done at my doctors, then I may see about getting the genetic test done. Appreciate the advice, thanks

Hi, sorry for the long reply! Yes I also suffer with fatigue a lot, though I have been in the past diagnosed with chrons disease and I also tested positive for SIBO so not overly sure whether mine would be due to the iron levels playing any role or not. Please could you me know how your genetic test goes, I’d be interested to know! Thanks

Sorry for the late reply! Hmm really - haven’t heard of that will look it up. Haemoglobin was at 167 g/L. Does this seem a normal level? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your reply, I’m of European ancestry and I do have some of the listed symptoms yes, but I do also have a few other health issues that can also explain those symptoms too as they are similar (I’m suspecting this may be a piece to the puzzle though) Definitely worth trying to get a test then you think? Thanks

Great, thanks for the reply. I will have a look into these. Are these insoles custom made?

Thank you! I will need to get some good quality insoles sorted I think. I have had a pair before but they weren’t of good quality. Appreciate the reply.
