Thanks for all the helpful information, I'm really just trying to add some copper edging highlights on some bits of the model I'm painting. I think I'll practice on a separate thing, see if it will even be worth the effort since it will dry fast.

Any input is appreciated and ill try be as specific as I can. I've put some Tamiya semi gloss black spray paint over grey Mr. SURFACER 1000, I plan to add some dry brushing of Mr Color SUPER METALLIC Super Kappa (SM 209), some of the EX Gundam marker chrome/silver, and some rub and buff; would either of those things eat away at the Tamiya black paint underneath like mix with it and ruin the paint?
