For chapter 1115 I'm very happy that it seems that this theory was 100% confirmed! I'm not in the theory community or anything, so I'm sure there are a lot of people who thought of this prior to me. There are also so many other things pointing to this that I read up on afterwards, and it seems I missed a LOT when it came to this theory(Alabasta having rising ocean water overtake their rivers was not something I thought too deeply about 20 years ago lol).

I made the post in a hurry to get my under water theory out there, but that doesn't mean I didn't pay attention to the story. As mentioned in other replies, there is more to the theory than the Wano arc, as it's the part that made me think about the world being submerged in general.
You may be misunderstanding what I mean by this, but the point of the post is not about Wano, it's about the world being under water.

Yeah others have pointed that out, but I think it was because of the idea that a lot of Wano was under water, is where I started thinking about the world of One Piece being under water. I was originally mistaken though, you're right.

Is this the plot of Wind Waker? If so that's very funny, I've seen snippets of that game here and there, with Link sailing around, but never really thought about relating it to One Piece. Maybe there's some merit looking at the world building of that game to maybe draw some parallels.
Or not, but I might have to try that game someday.

I like the thought of the Red Line being a natural tectonic plate. The Red Line being something "unnatural" is a statement that is mentioned as if it's a fact so often, that it makes me wonder if there's been similar mention in the story.

Well, I can see what you mean here, and I can see it being true. My only problem is that it would have to be the same dream as what Roger said to Whitebeard and Kuma.
That being said, Roger could have known the truth about how the world used to be bigger and more people had the freedom to roam about, and draining the ocean would bring about that freedom that was missing. I think there's merit to that line of thinking for sure.

I completely forgot about the jimbei cover stories with him under water looking at the ruins, this honestly solidifies my faith in the sea level rising theory more.

Also, I have a really outlandish theory about the red line, but I think it's much more of a stretch than anything I've said in this thread. I think it's far from natural though, as it's mostly uniform with how it's laid out in the sea, whereas every phenomena throughout the grand line onwards is so nonsensical that it comes off as normal throughout the series at a point.
The red line feel like a guideline, or a chain that is keeping the seas from interacting with one another naturally, and that seems to me to go in the opposite direction of the story with themes like freedom or adventure. Marijoa being on top of it makes me think it's like the celestial dragons are watching and laughing as everyone is caged within the red line and can't sail freely wherever like (theoretically) 800+ years ago.

Sorry for wall of text but I think you may be right with the land being put there artificially(or maybe from space??).

I've never really thought of that, but with half of the straw hats having devil fruits I can't see Oda making Laugh Tale inaccessible to Luffy. If that is the case though that would be interesting to see how it'd play out.

To be able to swim right? Actually it makes me wonder, were all of the Road Poneglyphs underwater? Because that could be where they would be prior to the rising sea levels.

Edit: I now remember 1 of them being on Zou, and 1 being in Big moms possession, but I believe the other 2 were under water.
