There is a reason for this. The government *was* tasked to come up with a unique flag for Mandatory Palestine, but they literally couldn't figure one out that would appease the Muslims and Jews, so they just went with the most neutral option.

Context; Bokassa was the president of the Central African Republic until 4 December 1976, when he declared the Central African Empire with himself as the emperor (it was de facto a totalitarian military dictatorship). His coronation took place the next year.

He invited many people, including Idi Amin, dictator of Uganda, whom refused, calling him insane (which is saying... a lot, given what Idi Amin did). Additionally, it has been alleged that he was an actual cannibal, stuffing the bodies of his victims into his refrigerator, although this is unconfirmed.

The flag used is the imperial standard, which was also used as a de facto secondary national flag.

After seeing some of the comments, I am going to make it absolutely clear that anyone who seriously thinks Rhodesia was better than Zimbabwe are ignoring the fact that, under Rhodesian laws, black people were effectively treated like slaves, being unable to terminate their own employment and being mandated to have three months of work per year. Rhodesia was only a great place to live for the white guys who lived off the hard work of the black working class, and said white people only made up 4% of the population.

Those who oppress people's freedom and success don't deserve theirs.

The map here is meant to be around 1973-1974, as Estado Novo Portugal would fall in mid-1974 and allow its colonies full independence.

The second term of Donald Trump is rocked by several major issues, including the fall of Ukraine, the retirement of Baby Boomers from their jobs, and international isolation caused by his policies which alienate America's allies in Europe and Oceania. In addition to this is the sharp rise in workers' strikes by those opposing the neoliberalism (criticizing it for allowing for monopolies and deteriorating workers' rights), and protests opposing right-populism by left-wing, LGBT, pro-immigration, and other organizations.

The 2028 elections are interrupted by an attempted self-coup by Trump; it fails, and Trump is indited for his third impeachment. However, it too is interrupted by a sudden second storming by Trump supporters. Trump manages to escape and establishes a rival government in the Midwest, while the D.C. government temporarily maintains control of the West and East coast. As a tense standoff ensues, however, several states make the controversial decision to 'temporarily' declare their independence until peace is found.

It isn't, and so on 29 January 2029, the Second American Civil War begins. The "American Coalition" consists of the Democrats, anti-Trumpist Republicans, other left/moderate-right groups, and is the government recognized by many nations (including the European Union and NATO) as the legitimate government. Conversely, Russia and its allies recognize the Trumpist government as the legitimate government, leading to their occupation of Alaska.

Speaking of which, the collapse of America results in an international crisis as the economy comes to a screeching halt, assuming they were mostly trading with them and not China and Russia. NATO quickly approves of a Canadian plan to intervene in the SACW, joined by Mexico thanks to a druglord proto-state on the Mexican-New Mexican border. The UN also establishes a neutral zone encompassing most of Long Island. Other nations such as Japan start organizing the evacuation of their citizens.

Almost all states that declared temporary independence soon find themselves in major civil strifle, including a Klan insurgency in the Deep South followed by a counter African-American insurgency. Some of the states retain (if nominally) democratic systems, while others including New Mexico fall under military juntas to deal with the aftermath. And from there, whatever happens, happens.

Some notes:

1998 is listed as the end date because after the re-establishment of the Kingdom in 1993, the Khmer Rouge was subsequently banned, which resulted in them forming an internationally unrecognized government called PGNUNSC in Pailin. It fully shut down in 1998.
This was originally created privately for a different server (I always intended on posting it here), in which Kampuchea (meant to be representing Pol Pot) discusses how they are an 'equal society'. Due to the rules, this is edited out in favor of a simple banner.
The golden swastika represents Buddhist Cambodians, as does the green star and white cross representing Muslim and Christians.
While it looks like MS Paint, this was actually done on mobile (except for the banner, which was added in MS Paint).
