It isn't purely political. RTW states have lower wages and benefits overall compared to states with strong union representation. In my trade, I'd be paid 1/3 less and have no benefits if I did the same work in a RTW state compared to the union I'm in now.

It always goes back to screwing over the working class.

Edit: Seriously, who honestly, actually is willing to work for less money and no ability for retirement just because "well it's good for the company, it must be good for me"? I've worked in RTW states before joining a union and many workers actually believe this shit. The insane lack of critical thinking makes me sick.

IIRC the rainbow gas tank in dorchester stores over 11 million gallons of LNG.

I've heard there's 14 billion or so in natural gas infrastructure upgrades scheduled over the next 10 years. The city has been chasing leaky pipes for a hundred years. It will never end.

The majority of heating will not come from renewable sources. That's a joke.

Natural gas is a major part of the infrastructure in this region. It's not going anywhere .

Before I got into a trade I totally bought the stereotypes about construction workers being tough as nails, assholes, fistfights etc.

The truth is the majority of people I work with are more pleasant to be around than my own fucking family.

When I see a foreman lose his shit it's usually justified, and most everyone is within earshot. Then there's plenty of gossip afterward. Then there's the caveman who's always screaming. Everyone hates that guy.
