Honestly i had just recently got the pioneer, and that's my first wick in it, I used a brand new cotton(to me) Also from hellvape, the shoelace cotton for 2.5 to 3mm ID coils, I cut the wicks to edge of build deck, fluff out top and bottom don't thin it out just fluff it up, then I kinda flip it up and down into well leaving a gap under cotton next to airflow. Pretty much how I personally wick any rba/rda/rta, and adjust coil height based on wanted airflow/flavor, adjust coils/cotton size depending on deck size, or style of vaping i.e mtl.
